Shawn Michaels Comments on the Wednesday Night War Being Great for Wrestling

Yahoo Sports held a recent interview with Shawn Michaels and one of the topics discussed included his thoughts on the upcoming Wednesday Night War being great for the wrestling business.

“I think the NXT roster can go with anybody in the entire world. There are a bunch of unbelievable talents. The wrestling business as a whole is in a phenomenal time.

There’s an abundance of talent out there and I think the world is going to get to see it. I’m sure everybody likes to win, but everybody who has a brain can see that this is great for the business. We want to show what we’ve felt for quite some time and that’s that we have the best talent in the world.”

WWE Network Hidden Gems Addition

This week’s addition to WWE Network’s Hidden Gems series is Clash of the Champions themed, featuring one classic marathon.

This gem is the entire episode of WCW All Nighter from January 20, 1995 from WCW featuring Tony Schiavone, Gene Okerlund and Bobby Heenan as the hosts. This four and a half hour marathon originally aired on TBS and featured the ten greatest Clash of Champions matches in WCW history at the time.

New Japan Pro Wrestling News & Notes

New Japan Pro Wrestling announced that the Rock ‘n’ Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) will be appearing at their upcoming Fighting Spirit Unleashed tour from September 27-29 in the United States. This will also be the Rock ‘n’ Roll Express’ official debut in the company.

NJPW also announced that they will be holding a second New Japan Showdown event later this year in the United States. This new event is called “New Japan Showdown in Los Angeles” and takes place on November 11th at the Globe Theatre in Los Angeles, California.

The company also recently uploaded all three Super J-Cup 2019 events held last month in the United States to their New Japan World service.

Misc. Wrestling News & Notes

The National Wrestling Alliance announced that Colt Cabana will be making an appearance for the company at their television tapings on September 30th and October 1st in Atlanta, Georgia.

Major League Wrestling announced that they will be holding an event called Blood & Thunder on November 9th at the GILT Nightclub in Orlando, Florida.

Josh Barnett announced a new match for the card of Game Changer Wrestling’s Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport II event on September 14th in Atlantic City, New Jersey:

ROH announced three new matches for the card of their Death Before Dishonor 2019 event on September 27th in Las Vegas, Nevada:
