Ric Flair, WWE, and XFL Trademarks
Ric Flair, WWE, and Alpha Entertainment recently filed a variety of trademarks to the United States Patent and Trademark Office, according to PWInsider.
A trademark for “The Man” was filed by Ric Flair’s company Ric Flair, LLC. on August 26th for wrestling and entertainment-related purposes. This is notable for being one of Flair’s most famous catchphrases, which originated from his legendary “To be the Man, you have to beat The Man” promo.
Trademarks for “Breezango” and “The Outliers” were filed by WWE on August 26th for wrestling-related purposes. WWE also recently filed a correction to their “Adam Cole” trademark application admitting that Cole used the ring name prior to joining the company and removed their request to legally prevent him from using the name should he leave.
PWInsider’s Steven Fernandes reported that Alpha Entertainment had previously filed thirty-five trademarks for potential team names prior to settling on the official eight team names for the start of their re-debut season in 2020. They were:

KENTA reportedly suffered a possible concussion at NJPW’s Royal Quest event this past Saturday, according to the Wrestling Observer. Dave Meltzer reported that KENTA was hospitalized after his match and was said to be feeling okay afterwards.
Dave Meltzer also reported that the streaming and audio issues that plagued the live broadcast of Royal Quest will not be present for New Japan World subscribers when the event is uploaded to the service.
Lance Archer’s contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling reportedly has recently expired, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Ring of Honor announced that Bandido, Colt Cabana, Mark Haskins, and PCO are the final set of official entrants for their upcoming number one’s contender tournament for the ROH World Championship.
Impact Wrestling reportedly had reached a deal with All Elite Wrestling for Tenille Dashwood to make an official appearance at last night’s AEW All Out event in Chicago, Illinois, according to Sports Illustrated. Dashwood competed in the Women’s Casino Battle Royale match on the event’s Buy In pre-show.
