2K Games Reportedly Drops Yuke’s from WWE Video Games Series
2K Games has recently ended their contract with longtime WWE video game series developer Yuke’s, according to VideoGameChronicle.com.
It was reported that 2K Games recently made the decision to split from Yuke’s starting with this year’s WWE 2K20 game, ending Yuke’s’ twenty year association with WWE’s video game license in the process. It was also reported that Visual Concepts will become the primary developer of the WWE series going forward.
2K Games’ statement on the new changes and status of their WWE 2K series:
“WWE 2K20 will be developed by Visual Concepts, who have worked with Yuke’s on the development of the series since WWE 2K14.
As we’ve continued to invest in the WWE 2K franchise, we’ve seen the Visual Concepts team display incredible passion, talent and commitment to the future of the series. We thank Yuke’s for their years of partnership and are excited to see what the Visual Concepts team brings to the franchise moving forward.”
Yukes released an official statement afterwards that confirmed they have been dropped from the WWE 2K video game series but will continue to lend support for game engine-related help for WWE 2K20 and beyond.

WWE initially listed the Kickoff show as starting at 6:00PM ET and SummerSlam itself as starting at 7:00PM ET.
