WWE Considering Plans for NXT Talent to Appear at Super ShowDown
WWE reportedly is currently considering plans for several wrestlers from their NXT brand to appear at this Friday’s Super ShowDown event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, according to PWInsider.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that WWE officials are considering plans for NXT talent to help fill in the spots needed for the 50-Man Battle Royal match and that Matt Riddle’s name was among those being discussed as potential competitors from the NXT brand.

NJPW announced that Taiji Ishimori suffered a right shoulder injury during his match against Shingo Takagi at last Friday’s Best of the Super Juniors event in Ehime, Japan. Ishimori was pulled from the card of yesterday’s show and his current status for the final event of this year’s Best of the Super Juniors tournament on June 5th is currently not known.
AT&T reportedly will no longer be carrying The Pursuit Channel for their U-verse cable service going forward, according to the Wrestling Observer. The Pursuit Channel is the current cable network home of Impact Wrestling.
Major League Wrestling announced that they will be holding their first ever event in the Dallas area on September 7th. This event is called War Chamber and takes place at the NYTEX Sports Center in North Richland Hills, Texas.
Kenny Omega reportedly is currently considering ideas for several talent from Japan’s DDT Pro-Wrestling to make appearances for All Elite Wrestling in the future, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Meltzer reported that Omega is currently interested in Antonio Honda and Konosuke Takeshita as potential talent for future AEW shows.
