Ric Flair Health Status Update

As noted before, Ric Flair was hospitalized last month for a heart-related health issue.

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Flair’s hospitalization was due to him suffering from blood clots in his leg and chest. The blood clots were the reason why his scheduled heart surgery last month had to be delayed by a few days.

Meltzer also reported that this was the second time Flair has suffered from blood clots in his leg with the previous incident being in 2013 during a trip to Japan.

WWE Working on Tentative Plans for the 24/7 Championship

WWE has “batted around” ideas for the 24/7 Championship to be defended on YouTube, Instagram and at the WWE Performance Center, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

WWE Cancels Another SmackDown Live House Show Due to the Wild Card Rule

WWE canceled two more SmackDown house shows that were scheduled on Mondays, because of the Wild Card rule, where SmackDown wrestlers will appear on Raw. That’s the fifth show in six weeks that has been canceled. It’s safe to assume that they’ll probably eventually stop scheduling SmackDown house shows on Mondays.

Shows canceled:

– June 3 in Corpus Christi, TX at the American Bank Center

– June 17 in Palm Springs, CA at the Palm Springs Convention Center
