Killer Kross Comments on Reports Regarding His Issues with Impact Wrestling
As noted before, Killer Kross requested his release from Impact Wrestling last month due to issues regarding his pay in the company. Impact officials reportedly were unwilling to grant his release but had offered him a pay raise that was around half of the amount Kross had requested.
A recent episode of The Wrestling Perspective podcast had Kross as the guest and one of the topics discussed included the report about his release request and pay issues.
“[The release request] was 100% true. None of the information came from me. [When I saw the report], I threw a Killer Kross-esque tantrum in public, for real. I was still in the process of trying to find common ground with [IMPACT]. I was chatting with Scott [D’Amore] and other people in the company. No one outside of my immediate family had that much detail regarding the information that [was put online]. And my employers. I was thinking someone I was speaking to in confidence was gossiping to the wrong person. I don’t think it was malicious, but I was fucking furious.”
Kross also stated that ideally he would like to remain and continue working for Impact Wrestling but wants to be paid at a better rate in order to do so for the future. Kross also revealed that Scarlett Bordeaux’s issues with the company are unrelated to his but that her current financial situation is a lot more dire and in need of immediate fixing.
WWE Super ShowDown Attendance Number
Last week’s Super ShowDown event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia reportedly drew a lower attendance number than last year’s Greatest Royal Rumble event held in the same city, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Dave Meltzer reported that Super ShowDown drew an attendance of around 21,000 for the event at the King Abdullah Sports Stadium. This was a lot lower than Greatest Royal Rumble, which was held in the same venue and drew around 60,000, but higher than last November’s Crown Jewel event held in Riyadh, which drew around 16,000.
KENTA Comments on the Entrance Issues for His Official Debut in NJPW
A recent episode of the NJPW English Podcast show had KENTA as the guest and one of the topics discussed included the entrance issues he had for his official debut in NJPW.
“Yeah, that has a little bit of story [to it]. Shibata went first then he pointed at me and I tried to go [through the] entrance but I didn’t know where the entrance was. That’s why [I] took a little bit of time and then I tried to look for [the] stairs and finally I found it. I went, ‘Oh okay. I go’.”
