Flip Gordon Suffers Elbow Injury at ROH Best in the World 2019 Event
Flip Gordon suffered an elbow injury at this past Friday’s ROH Best in the World 2019 event in Baltimore, Maryland, according to the Wrestling Observer.
Bryan Alvarez reported that Gordon suffered a dislocated elbow after hitting a 450 Splash to Tracy Williams through a table, but the injury was not serious and his elbow was popped back into place backstage.
New Japan Pro Wrestling News & Notes
New Japan Pro Wrestling recently filed a trademark for “Death Rider” to the United States Patent and Trademark Office, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. This trademark was filed for merchandise-related purposes and Meltzer reported that if approved, All Elite Wrestling likely would not be allowed to use the name for Jon Moxley’s elevated Dirty Deeds finishing move in the company. At Fyter Fest, the move was called “the Paradigm Shift” by the commentary team.
NJPW’s parent company, Bushiroad Inc., reportedly will be filing for an Initial Public Offering (IPO) to the Tokyo Stock Exchange soon, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
The G1 Climax 2019 Night 1 show on July 6th in Dallas, Texas has sold around 4,000 tickets as of this week, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Dave Meltzer also reported in this week’s Newsletter that ticket sales for the August 22nd and August 24th Super J Cup 2019 events reached sold out status while the finals of the Super J Cup 2019 on August 25th in Long Beach, California still has a lot of tickets available.

ROH announced that Dragon Lee will be making appearances for the company at their Manhattan Mayhem event on July 20th in New York City, New York and their Mass Hysteria event on July 21st in Lowell, Massachusetts.
Austin Gunn, son of former WWE wrestler Billy Gunn, reportedly has recently signed a contract with Ring of Honor, according to Fightful.
AT&T U-verse and DirectTV have recently dropped Impact Wrestling’s TV channel, Pursuit, from their lineup, according to PWInsider. It was reported that Pursuit Channel’s deal with AT&T expired at the end of last month and was not renewed.
