June’s NXT TakeOver Event Status Update

As noted before, WWE cancelled plans to hold the next NXT TakeOver event on June 8th in San Jose, California due to recent changes made to their schedule for the next Saudi event.

WWE announced during last night’s NXT television tapings at Full Sail University that the next NXT Takeover event will be taking place on June 1st but did not reveal the official location for the event.

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE is currently planning for this event to take place at the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Meltzer also reported that WWE is also considering the idea of holding the next TakeOver event in Atlanta, Georgia as a possible option instead.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that an official decision regarding the location of this event is expected to be made by Triple H this Monday.
