Jon Moxley Promo
Jon Moxley cut his first promo as an AEW wrestler and said that it was an “official declaration of war to anybody who stands in AEW’s way.”
One day, they will all come to my funeral just to make sure that I stay dead. But today is not that day! I am alive! My heart is still beating and I am breathing fresh air for the first time in a long time.
My name is Jon Moxley and I am on a mission to reclaim my soul. And I know I’m not the only one who thinks, you know, it’s about time this industry got a face lift. So make no mistake about it, this is an official declaration of war tonight to anyone who wants to get in my way and anybody who stands in AEW’s way.
We have a mission to knock the pillars of this industry on their ass. We ain’t reading history books anymore, baby, we’re writing them. This is what you’d call a paradigm shift.

AEW president Tony Khan said in a press conference after Double or Nothing that Moxley will be able to work some international and indie dates, similar to other wrestlers on the roster.
So he is a multi-year contract and he will be on a full-time deal. When we go weekly, he’s gonna be working full-time. But same as with some of the other guys, especially when the schedule is light, I’m gonna be open to be him working some international and indie dates, but he is full-time with us and domestically he is essentially our guy. So he’s gonna do some international and indie stuff but he’s definitely an AEW full-timer.
From NJPW:
Jon Moxley to make first NJPW appearance on June 5 in Ryogoku!
Jon Moxley will be appearing in Ryogoku Sumo Hall June 5 with apparent designs on IWGP US Heavyweight champion, Juice Robinson. Moxley previously saw worldwide fame as a WWE ‘Grand Slam’ Champion and member of top flight faction The Shield under the name Dean Ambrose.
All month long, Robinson’s matches and commentary have been interrupted by a mysterious video stating that it was ‘time up’ for the IWGP US Champion. Sunday at Makuhari Messe, Robinson exploded during the Best of the Super Juniors broadcast, saying that he knew who the mystery challenger was, and stormed out of the building.
Earlier this afternoon, Moxley posted a video to social media that suggested he was the culprit. After checking the veracity of the post, we can confirm that Moxley is indeed the original video’s creator, and will be appearing on June 5 in Ryogoku Sumo Hall.
NJPW have reached out to Robinson for comment and will provide updates to this story when available.
