“Retired” UFC fighter Conor McGregor congratulated Becky Lynch on her WrestleMania win last night and teased a possible future in WWE.
Congrats to Irelands Becky Lynch, the WWE’s first Champ Champ.
Wow!
What a match these ladies put on! Ronda Rousey is something special in that ring, as is Charlotte Flair of the Flair dynasty!
Stephanie McMahon you are right, I could not do what these athletes do.
Or could I…— Conor McGregor (@TheNotoriousMMA) April 8, 2019

Back in 2017, there were rumors that WWE badly wanted to sign McGregor for a match or appearance, but nothing ever came of it.
In a tweet a couple of weeks ago, McGregor said that he’s retiring from MMA, but some feel that it may be a negotiating ploy to get more money out of UFC for any potential future fight. Teasing a run in WWE could also be a negotiating ploy.
Hey guys quick announcement, I’ve decided to retire from the sport formally known as “Mixed Martial Art” today.
I wish all my old colleagues well going forward in competition.
I now join my former partners on this venture, already in retirement.
