WWE announced that the Raw Women’s Championship match between Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair will officially be the “main event” for WrestleMania 35.
WWE had already been referring to the match as the main event on TV, but they did the same with the Lesnar vs. Rollins match, so the matches were being billed as co-main events and it wasn’t clear which one would be going on last. WWE now specifically calling the women’s match the “main event” would seem to indicate that it will in fact go on last, which was expected, but not confirmed. There were reports that as of last week, Vince McMahon had not decided which match would be closing the show yet and there was a chance that he wouldn’t decide until the week of WrestleMania. It now seems like his choice has been made.
