He was going to come out tonight to announce Ciampa vs Gargano for the NXT Title at NXT Takeover, but that can’t happen anymore. When one dream ends, another one begins. Johnny Gargano will compete for the NXT Title at NXT Takeover. He will face the winner of a 5 way with Ricochet vs Adam Cole vs Aleister Black vs Velveteen Dream vs Matt Riddle. That match happens tonight! The main event of NXT Takeover will also be 2 out of 3 falls to make sure there is decisive winner.

Five-Way Match: Adam Cole defeated Ricochet, Aleister Black, Velveteen Dream, and Matt Riddle – Adam Cole pinned Ricochet and Cole will face Johnny Gargano at TakeOver for the NXT Championship. After the match, The Forgotten Sons attack Ricochet & Black.

Punishment Martinez defeated Riddick Moss

Humberto Carrillo defeated Albert Hardie Jr. (ACH)

War Raiders defeated two enhancement wrestlers – Rowe says they are sending a message to their Takeover opponents and request another team.

War Raiders defeated Adrian Jaoude & Cezar Bononi

Jaxson Ryker defeated Oney Lorcan

Kairi Sane vs. Bianca Belair – Shayna, Jessamyn, & Marina run in and cause a no contest. Io Shirai runs in to make the save, refs and the women’s roster out to break it up. Io Shirai does a moonsault on to everyone then poses with the NXT Women’s Title.

Raul Mendoza defeated Brennan Williams

In-Ring: Johnny Gargano, Adam Cole – There have been a few minutes of dueling “Johnny Wrestling” And “Adam Cole.” Cole says he doesn’t need their support. Gargano says he loves the Johnny Wrestling chants. Cole claims that Gargano has a poor win-loss record despite his cute little Johnny Takeover name. He’s really Johnny Participation. Cole talks about his road in NXT and how he has done everything to succeed. Gargano talks about his road about working hard despite WWE turning him down, getting a spot in the first Dusty Classic, busting his ass over and over until he was undeniable and got his spot. Cole says no matter Gargano thinks, he can’t beat him. Out come The Undisputed Era. Cole says Triple H may have said that the title match will be definitive, but Cole says it will be Undisputed.

Vanessa Borne & Aliyah vs. Lacey Lane & Kacy Catanzaro – Shayna & Co. out, Aliyah & Vanessa leave, they beat down Kacy & Lacey.

Matt Riddle defeated Kona Reeves – Velveteen Dream has been brought on to the stage by two women on a couch. Dream says he will face Riddle at TakeOver.

Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Finals: Aleister Black & Ricochet defeated The Forgotten Sons to win the tournament. At NXT TakeOver New York War Raiders will defend the NXT Tag Titles against Ricochet & Aleister Black. War Raiders our for a stare down with Ricochet & Black.

In-Ring: Ricochet & Aleister Black Say Goodbye to NXT – Ricochet says this may be the last Full Sail taping for himself & Aleister Black. Black says him and Rico-Chet (his pronunciation) are leaving a piece of their soul at Full Sail. This is the best platform to perform for fans BAR NONE. Ricochet says this has been the best year of his entire career. Ricochet says they may be leaving NXT, but the NXT roster is so stacked up and down that others will take their place. Ricochet & Aleister Black are forever NXT.
