The Undertaker posted a pic of himself on Instagram with the caption, “Landed late last night…must be meeting with somebody important today! #ontheroadagain”
There have been reports that as of a couple of weeks ago, WWE did not (yet?) have a match for him planned at WrestleMania.
There will be another WWE show in Saudi Arabia in early May, so whatever the meeting is might have something to do with that also.
Last week, Undertaker removed references to WWE from his social media accounts and replaced them with information on booking him for other events, but that probably doesn’t mean much.
In a maybe related story, Sports Illustrated reported today that the Undertaker agreed to a deal to appear at the Starrcast II wrestling convention in Las Vegas on May 25.
That’s the same day as AEW’s Double or Nothing show, which is also in Las Vegas.
Starrcast founder Conrad Thompson said, “I know people might assume this is an AEW event, but that is not true. We have wrestlers appearing from every promotion from all over the world, and Starrcast isn’t just for All Elite Wrestling fans, it’s for all wrestling fans. The Undertaker is synonymous with wrestling and generations of wrestling fans have grown up with The Undertaker. We wanted to bring something unique to Las Vegas, and there isn’t anyone more special in this business than The Undertaker.”
See ya there, Take. https://t.co/KicnlJvu2s
