In-Ring: Miz TV w/ Daniel Bryan & AJ Styles
The Miz welcomes everyone to Miz TV. He says that Paige warned him he has to stay professional involving his two guests tonight. He introduces WWE champion AJ Styles to the ring. He asks AJ about his family. AJ stands up and stares at The Miz but The Miz says he understands AJ’s rage but that rage lead him to victory. But his next opponent doesn’t use psychological warfare. An opponent who, if he goes to your house, will tend to your garden. He mockingly introduces Daniel Bryan.
BBoth AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan shake hands and The Miz says that is the last thing anyone wants to see in a fight for the WWE title. He jokingly says that it will be riveting. Bryan says he heard him talk about AJ’s match at WWE Super Showdown and asks if he wants to talk about their match at the show and promises it won’t take very long.
A loud “Daniel Bryan” chant from the crowd. The Miz says unlike them, he will remain professional. He states that AJ has been champion for 11 months and how does Daniel Bryan rank among his challengers. Styles says that as of late, Samoa Joe has been his greatest competitor. Styles says that this match will stay in between these ropes in the house that AJ Styles built. The Miz twists AJ’s words around and says that AJ said stated he is better than Daniel Bryan. AJ says he didn’t say that as Bryan says AJ didn’t say that but he’s glad he did. He’s glad because he wants to beat a worthy opponent and no one is more worthy than AJ Styles in the WWE. Because he has defended the WWE title for over 300 days.
Daniel Bryan says that AJ Styles has earned the right to think he is better than him and everyone else. So yes, he is glad that AJ Styles thinks he can beat him because deep down, he knows he can beat AJ Styles. The Miz repeats that and looks at AJ. Styles says that no disrespect but since he came back from injury, he hasn’t faced anyone who is phenomenal. Daniel says he knows they are having fun poking at the 2 minute man but the truth is that this match at the Crown Jewel PPV in Saudi Arabia, this is the reason that he fought so hard to come back from retirement.
Bryan says he never spoke about what his dream was. His dream was not to come back fight this jerk, as he points to The Miz. His dream that he was fighting for was one thing only and that is the WWE title. And the only thing standing in the way between him and his dream, is AJ himself. The two stand up as The Miz pushes his chair back between them.
AJ tells Daniel he’s not moving, not for him or anybody. The Miz says it took them long enough, finally something interesting. AJ asks Daniel how good does it feel to punch Miz in the face/ Daniel Bryan says punching the 2 minute man? It feels great. The two take jabs at The Miz and he cuts them off. He says he has tried to be professional but the truth is that Daniel stole his WWE title opportunity with his fluke small package. He says his shoulder wasn’t down, he beat him at SummerSlam, at Hell in a Cell and week after week. At least when he beat Bryan he knocked him out.
And as for AJ Styles, he’s just another one of Daniel Bryan but with an annoying southern accent. He’s been champion for almost a year but it’s not relevant. And if he wonders why the WWE title doesn’t headline PPVs, for him to look in the mirror. The Miz says that he’s got the winner of their match at Crown Jewel.
He introduces Shelton Benjamin who will go up against AJ Styles next.
