Rey Mysterio’s Upcoming WWE Schedule

As noted before, Rey Mysterio Jr. recently agreed to a new contract with WWE after almost a year of negotiations. During last night’s episode of WWE SmackDown, it was announced that Mysterio will be making his return to WWE television at next week’s SmackDown 1000 episode.

WWE recently announced a list of upcoming dates and events Mysterio is currently scheduled for following next week’s SmackDown 1000 episode.

• October 20th SmackDown brand house show in Hartford, Connecticut.
• October 21th SmackDown brand house show in Boston, Massachusetts.
• October 22nd SmackDown brand house show in White Plains, New York.
• October 23rd SmackDown Live event in Newark, New Jersey.
• October 30th SmackDown Live event in Atlanta, Georgia.
• November 3rd SmackDown brand house show in Cardiff, Wales.
• November 4th SmackDown brand house show in Aberdeen, Scotland.
• November 5th SmackDown brand house show in Birmingham, England.
• November 6th SmackDown Live event in Manchester, England.

WWE Network Hidden Gems Addition

This week’s addition to WWE Network’s Hidden Gems series is Hispanic Heritage Month themed, featuring four classic matches.

The first gem is from an August 1, 1977 Madison Square Garden event from WWWF featuring a singles match of “The Unpredictable” Johnny Rodz versus Carlos Colon.

WWE Hall of Famers square off at The World’s Most Famous Arena when ‘The Unpredictable’ Johnny Rodz battles Carlos Colon.

The second gem is from a January 8, 1992 event from WWF featuring a singles match of Latin Fury versus “The Juicer” Art Barr.

Lucha legend Konnan makes a rare WWE appearance as Latin Fury when he takes on the former partner of Eddie Guerrero, ‘The Juicer’ Art Barr.

The third gem is from a November 22, 1998 Super Astros event from WWF featuring a singles match of Super Loco versus El Hijo del Santo.

Before becoming an ECW and WWE mainstay, Super Crazy performed as Super Loco against El Hijo del Santo in this bout from Super Astros.

The fourth and final gem is from a November 20, 2002 event from Ohio Valley Wrestling featuring a singles match of Eddie Guerrero versus Nova.

Latino Heat Eddie Guerrero makes his presence felt in his one and only OVW appearance when he takes on Nova in this match from 2002.

Misc. Wrestling News & Notes

ROH announced Tracy Williams and Marty Scurll as the first two competitors for this year’s Survival of the Fittest tournament, which takes place on November 4th in Columbus, Ohio. The winner of this tournament will receive a future title shot for the ROH World Championship.

Game Changer Wrestling announced a new match for the card of their November 16th Joey Janela’s L.A. Confidential event in Los Angeles, California. This was revealed to be a singles match of Nick Gage versus Joey Ryan.

AXS TV announced the debut episode of Women of Wrestling’s new weekly television show will air on the network on January 18, 2019.
