Rey Mysterio Reportedly Wrestling in Two Matches at SmackDown 1000

As noted before, Rey Mysterio Jr. will be making his return to WWE television at next week’s SmackDown 1000 episode. Mysterio will be facing off against Shinsuke Nakamura in a qualifier match for the WWE World Cup tournament at Crown Jewel on November 2nd.

Mysterio is also currently being advertised locally as wrestling in two matches at SmackDown 1000. Besides the singles match against Nakamura, Mysterio is also advertised to be competing in a six-man tag team match with Daniel Bryan and AJ Styles against Randy Orton, The Miz, and Shinsuke Nakamura. Daniel Bryan and AJ Styles were previously advertised to be facing off against Samoa Joe and The Miz in a tag team match at the event. If Mysterio does actually wrestle twice, the six man tag may just be a dark match.

Jeff Cobb Comments on Why He Signed With ROH Instead of Impact Wrestling

The Baltimore Sun held a recent interview with Jeff Cobb and one of the topics discussed involved why he decided to sign a contract with Ring of Honor instead of Impact Wrestling.

“I definitely want to wrestle more in New Japan. Ring of Honor has that great relationship with them. New Japan guys are on ROH TV, and ROH guys are out on New Japan shows. The schedules don’t conflict that often. That’s definitely a big factor that made me want to sign with Ring of Honor.”

Lucha Underground Ratings – October 10, 2018
