Velveteen Dream wrestled at last night’s EVOLVE 112 show in Joppa, Maryland in a match that was just for the live crowd and was not aired on the show’s stream. He defeated Austin Theory via Purple Rainmaker, then put Theory over after the match, saying that he can “almost guarantee” that there will be a rematch between himself and Theory in NXT. The 21 year old Austin Theory took part in a WWE tryout a few months ago and also wrestled at WrestleMania Axxess this year.
Dream will also be wrestling at tonight’s EVOLVE 113 show in Queens, NY, against Darby Allin.
After his win, Dream got on the mic and said:
“All the Dream can say tonight is thank you. EVOLVE is an amazing promotion. It is the grandchild promotion of WWE if I may say. And a guy like the guy that the Dream just beat down out here, the guy who I dropped the purple rainmaker on, I’m sure there will be a rematch between Velveteen Dream and Austin Theory in NXT. I can almost guarantee it. And if the Dream is wrong about that, the Dream is not wrong about this fact right here. If you guys keep coming to Joppa, MD, or if you keep following EVOLVE wherever they go, you’ll always get your money’s worth. You’ll be able to go home at night and rest, and sleep easy. And don’t take dreams like this for granted because the next think you know, dream over.”
