Tessa Blanchard Signs With Women of Wrestling

Tessa Blanchard has signed with Women of Wrestling, which will be broadcast on AXS TV starting in January 2019.

The first “WOW” tapings will take place on October 10 and 11 at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles.

“WOW” is a promotion started by David McLane, who was the founder of the original Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (GLOW) in the 1980s. WOW was founded in 2000 and ran a syndicated show until 2001.

Blanchard is also signed with Impact, where she’s the current Knockouts Champion.

MLW WarGames

Major League Wrestling will present their second ever WarGames match tomorrow in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, featuring John Morrison, Tommy Dreamer, Shane Strickland, Barrington Hughes & Kotta Brazil vs. Sami Callihan, Abyss, Jimmy Havoc & The Death Machines. The match will be taped for their weekly show on BeIN Sports.

In 2003 on a hot September night in Fort Lauderdale, FL, fans packed the War Memorial Auditorium recording the second largest crowd in MLW history to see the Funkin’ Army captained by Terry Funk take on arch rival Steve Corino and his squad, the Extreme Horsemen in a WAR GAMES match.

2 rings were constructed side-by-side, as is tradition for this bout that featured a who’s who of wrestling including: “Dr. Death” Steve Williams, Barry Windham, Sabu, CW Anderson, Justin Credible, The Sandman… even Bill Alfonso?!
