Next SummerSlam Location?
After four straight years at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, SummerSlam will move to a new location next year. There has been speculation that it could return to the Staples Center in Los Angeles, where it was held from 2009-2014, but WWE sources told both Dave Meltzer and PWInsider that it won’t be Los Angeles.
The rumor among people who work for WWE is that the location may be Toronto, PWInsider says. It would likely be at the Scotiabank Arena, where the Raptors and Maple Leafs play.
Vince McMahon Almost at Autograph Signing Session
Vince McMahon almost had to fill in for Stephanie McMahon at an autograph signing today at the Barclays Center. Stephanie was scheduled for a signing with Triple H, but she was at the funeral of Jim Neidhart yesterday and almost didn’t make it back in time.
It was announced to fans waiting at the event that if Stephanie didn’t make it, Vince McMahon would have been there instead, but in the end, Stephanie got there on time.
