Triple H Comments on Criticism of WWE Holding All-Women’s Event Because of Saudi Show Backlash
ESPN held a recent interview with Triple H and one of the topics discussed involved recent criticism that WWE was holding an all-women’s event due to the backlash generated from The Greatest Royal Rumble event.
“Let’s take the Saudi Arabia show off the table, and let’s just say it never happened — would anybody question that they deserve this opportunity? To me, it’s a ridiculous statement, the timing of it. You cannot effect change in a region that, culturally, is trying to change, you cannot help them affect that change without being there.”
Andre the Giant Documentary Sets New HBO Viewership Record
HBO’s Andre the Giant documentary from this past April is reported to have set a new all-time record for the network, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The Hollywood Reporter reported that the documentary set a new record of becoming the most-watched documentary ever in HBO Sports history with almost seven million viewers across all of the network’s platforms.
It was also reported that HBO recently signed Bill Simmons, Andre documentary producer, to a new contract due to the massive success of the film.
Kenny Omega Injured?
Kenny Omega revealed in a recent episode of Being The Elite that he is currently dealing with a fractured heel. Omega suffered the injury during his IWGP Heavyweight Championship match against Cody at NJPW’s G1 Special event earlier this month.

Ring Warriors announced they will be airing a weekly wrestling show on WGN America starting on September 15th.
ROH announced they will be holding a pre-sale on August 8th for next year’s G1 Supercard event at Madison Square Garden. The company also announced those who sign up to their HonorClub service by August 1st will get access to the pre-sale while non-subscribers will be able to purchase tickets for next year’s MSG event starting on August 10th.
