Update on Shinsuke Nakamura’s Injury Status
As noted before, Shinsuke Nakamura has been out of action since being bitten by a police dog at a SmackDown brand house show last week. Nakamura didn’t wrestle on the past two weeks of SmackDown and was unable to wrestle at last weekend’s Japan tour due to the injury.
In an update to Nakamura’s injury status, Nakamura stated in a recent interview with Nikkan Sports that he is currently expected to be out for at least two weeks.
It was announced on tonight’s SmackDown Live that Nakamura will be wrestling against Jeff Hardy at Extreme Rules on July 15, so he’ll be back in time for that.
Rumor: WWE Considering Plans to Induct Matt Cappotelli into Next Year’s WWE Hall of Fame
WWE is currently rumored to be considering plans for Matt Cappotelli to be inducted into their Hall of Fame next year, according to PWInsider.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that there have been recent talks within the company of Cappotelli being the recipient of next year’s Warrior Award. Johnson also reported that while talks for next year’s class are still very early and not official, there is a feeling within management of wanting to honor Cappotelli at next year’s event.

ROH announced a new match for the card of Chris Jericho’s Rock āNā Wrestling Rager at Sea cruise event. This will be a singles match of “Hangman” Adam Page versus Frankie Kazarian.
Major League Wrestling announced a new match for the card of their July 19th event in Queens, New York. This will be a MLW World Championship match of Sami Callihan versus champion Shane Strickland.
Cody stated in a recent episode of All Us that first official match for September’s All In event is expected to be announced “any day now” and the rest of the card will be announced over the course of the next several weeks.
