Brock Lesnar was in the crowd at UFC 226 last night, watching Daniel Cormier win the UFC Heavyweight Championship from Stipe Miocic, knocking Miocic out in the first round.
After the fight, Cormier got on the mic and called out Brock Lesnar, who ran into the ring and shoved Cormier.
Cormier then said, “Push me now, go to sleep later. Your day’s in the past. 2010 is like the stone age.”
Lesnar then got on the mic and said, “I walked into this building and watched the heavyweight disasters from the beginning. Ngannou is a piece of shit. Miocic is a piece of shit. DC… I’m coming for you motherfucker.”
UFC pretty much set this up, with reports that they asked Lesnar to come out and challenge the winner of the fight.
Lesnar still has about six months left on his USADA suspension and that time will not start to run down until he re-enters the USADA testing pool. Dana White said in a post-show press conference last night that Lesnar just started the process last week, which would allow him to return around January of 2019. There was some speculation that Lesnar could fight Cormier at the November UFC event at Madison Square Garden, but if he just re-entered the testing pool last week, that wouldn’t be possible.
