Interestingly, WWE’s Twitter account recently started following Matt Jackson (but not Nick for some reason) of the Young Bucks.
WWE and the Young Bucks have had issues recently, including WWE threatening the Bucks with a cease and desist in September over their use of the “Too Sweet” gesture and the Young Bucks talking trash back at WWE.
The Young Bucks have said repeatedly that they enjoy the freedom they have in Ring of Honor and NJPW, so signing with WWE isn’t necessarily important to them.
However, with about six months left on the Bucks’ ROH and NJPW contract, things appear to be warming up.
Not possible right now we have 6 months left on our current contracts. Never say never but we’re very happy with what we’re doing. https://t.co/kRpsGZ0DvT

The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega played against each other in a Street Fighter battle at E3 this month, which WWE promoted on their website and social media accounts. WWE also posted an old Kenny Omega match on the WWE Network a couple of weeks ago.
Kenny Omega’s contract expires in June 2019 and he’s also someone who’s certainly on WWE’s radar.
WWE has been on a signing spree recently, sometimes seemingly signing wrestlers just so they don’t wrestle for other companies.
Cody Rhodes took a shot at WWE in response to the suggestion that they could try to sign wrestlers currently booked for All In (September 1) just to keep them off the show. Cody’s comment is referencing the pictures new signees always take with Triple H before heading to the WWE Performance Center (“wrestling school”).
That’s a possibility. Everybody has different goals. If your goal is to take a meet/greet style handshake photo, and pretend to be excited about going back to wrestling school…that’s your prerogative ha. https://t.co/mDMQ6FQNfc
