Tom Phillips was back on 205 Live with Percy Watson, as Nigel McGuinness and Vic Joseph are in the United Kingdom for the Royal Albert Hall shows.
Drew Gulak defeated Lince Dorado
Drew Gulak walked down with Brian Kendrick, but not Gallagher as he’s also in the UK. Lince Dorado entered with the rest of the Lucha House Party and we got a backstage promo where they insulted Gulak.
Gulak worked him down with a headlock while Watson said Gulak has beaten everyone in the Lucha House Party except for Dorado. Dorado got a series of cradles for two. With McGuinness not there, Phillips took over as a heel sympathizer and said that McGuinness talked to him about Gulak’s pamphlet. Phillips said he likes a lot of it.
Gulak grounded Dorado with a surfboard and worked on his mask. The Golden Rewind hit, but Kendrick put Gulak’s foot on the ropes. Kendrick pulled Dorado down into the rope as the ref was distracted by the Lucha House Party. Gulak them got the submission with the Gu-Lock.
In-Ring: TJP
TJP came out and complained about his talent being wasted. He insulted Maverick and his opponent for tonight, asking if he thinks he deserves to be in the ring with TJP or if he’s just some whatever guy from Ohio. His opponent shoved him down, then TJP locked on the kneebar and tapped him out before the match could get started.
Lio Rush Signs With 205 Live
Maverick was shown signing Lio Rush, who will debut next week. The Lucha House Party will also face Kendrick, Gulak & Gallagher in a six-man elimination tag team match.
Hideo Itami defeated Mustafa Ali and Buddy Murphy in a triple threat match
Ali took Itami down and slugged him before Murphy got involved. Ali backdropped Murphy to the floor and went for a dive, but Itami buried a knee to the gut for two. Itami then backdropped Ali and booted Murphy off the apron for two.
Ali hit a back suplex with a mid-air boot to Itami. He followed up with a somersault X-Factor on Itami when Murphy catapulted him up. Ali hit a blind-diving springboard DDT for two on Murphy.
Murphy landed a kick to Ali and connected with a trapped superkick in the corner to Itami before hitting a Yokosuka cutter for two.
Ali went for another blind-diving mid-air DDT, but Itami kicked him down. Ali recovered and got both Itami and Murphy down. They ate a giant 450, but it only got two when Murphy pulled Ali out. Murphy tossed him onto the announce table and cleared it off, but Ali tripped him up before hitting a run-up Spanish fly off the table.
Itami hit a hesitation dropkick on Ali for two. Itami took the bottom turnbuckle pad off, but there were no DQs. Ali went face-first into the second buckle and his head rested against the bottom buckle before a hesitation dropkick against the exposed buckle ended it. This was fantastic stuff and they did get the crowd going at various points.
