ACE Comic Con held their annual event last weekend in Seattle, Washington with Lilian Garcia hosting a Q&A session and Becky Lynch as one of the panel’s guests. One of the questions asked to Lynch involved the hypothetical idea of her becoming the CEO of the WWE and her first official acts on the job.
After jokingly mentioning she would fire James Ellsworth first, Lynch stated her first official decisions would be to book a singles match of Finn Balor versus Shinsuke Nakamura and reintroduce the Women’s Tag Team Championship division to the WWE.
“So right now, numbers-wise, I don’t think we have enough women to have one on each brand. So, what I think would be pretty cool, is if they were traveling, and not just between Raw and SmackDown, but NXT too. And then you’d have a huge, huge range of women that you’d go against and so many possibilities. And I think that would get people excited to watch any of the brands, because you wouldn’t know when people would be showing up [on] either Raw or SmackDown because it’d all be traveling.”
When asked by Garcia if she has already pitched this idea to management, Lynch stated she has been pitching the idea for the past year or two.
“Yep. Been pitching it for a year. Maybe two.”
