Deonna Purrazzo is reported to have recently signed a contract with the WWE, according to website Squared Circle Sirens and PWInsider.
Squared Circle Sirens’ Casey Michael reported Purrazzo signed a NXT developmental contract with the WWE and is currently expected to report to WWE’s Performance Center within the next few weeks. Michael also reported Purrazzo is credited within Ring of Honor as being the source for the rebirth of their interest in women’s wrestling and signed a short term contract with the company on January 11th of this year.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson confirmed from their own sources that Purrazzo has signed a contract with the WWE and her contract with ROH included an opt-out clause that could be invoked after six months. Johnson reported Purrazzo took the opt-out option in order to sign a deal with the WWE and be able to start for them during this summer.
Purrazzo is currently expected to be among the field of competitors for this year’s Mae Young Classic tournament. Tapings for this tournament were recently announced by the WWE to be occurring on August 8th and August 9th at Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida.
