Chris Jericho returned to New Japan Pro Wrestling at today’s Wrestling Dontaku show in Fukuoka, Japan.
Wearing a mask, Jericho came out and attacked Tetsuya Naito, then took off the mask and revealed himself. He then attacked Naito with a ring bell, busting him open.
Jericho also attacked Naito at his last NJPW appearance at New Year’s Dash in January, which was supposed to set up a match between the two. That match will now likely happen at the NJPW Dominion show on June 9 in Osaka.
Jericho previously said that he was done with NJPW and that things just didn’t work out, so he was either “swerving” everyone to make his appearance a surprise, or he and NJPW worked out a deal just recently.
