AXS TV is reported to be airing NJPW’s July 7th event at the Cow Palace live in the United States, according to the Wrestling Observer.
The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported an official announcement from AXS TV is expected to be made soon regarding the event’s live broadcasting status. Meltzer also reported since NJPW’s initial announcement of the Cow Palace event, AXS TV and not New Japan World was speculated to be the event’s broadcaster due to its start of 5PM local time which caters to the US’s East Coast.
The event was also reported to be titled as “G1 Special in San Francisco” with Kazuchika Okada, Kenny Omega, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Tetsuya Naito as the headliners. The Young Bucks were also announced to be making an appearance at this event.
In regards to the commentary team, Jim Ross and Josh Barnett were revealed to be the announcers.
