Rey Mysterio was spotted at a WWE hotel this morning in New Orleans, according to PWInsider.
Mysterio was already scheduled to be in town for signings at WrestleCon, which he finished up yesterday, so this doesn’t necessarily mean that he’ll be at WrestleMania.
Mysterio has been in talks with WWE, but there’s been no word yet about any deal being reached.
Mysterio also suffered a partially torn bicep last month, which was apparently “not that serious” and did not require surgery. As of two weeks ago, he was still not able to wrestle and had to miss an NJPW show.
Last week, Mysterio said that he’s still injured and won’t be able to wrestle until next month. In an interview with Showtime’s “Below the Belt,” Mysterio said:
“Unfortunately, I just suffered a torn bicep three weeks ago. I opted not to get surgery. It’s a full tear, so I’m just gonna kick back, do some therapy for it and hopefully I’ll be ready next month.”
