In-Ring: Kurt Angle, Stephanie McMahon, Ronda Rousey, Triple H
RAW General Manager Kurt Angle makes his way to the ring. The commentators recap what happened last night with Triple H sucker punching Angle. Angle says ever since he’s returned to WWE as the RAW GM, he’s had to swallow his pride on a few occasions. Stephanie McMahon taught him that you have to do that for business, but last week was too far. Triple H sucker punched him, and he won’t pretend this is ok. Angle says, “Triple H — I’m calling you out!” Angle doesn’t care if he’s the COO of the company. He wants Triple H to face him like a man.
Stephanie McMahon makes her way to the ring and tells Angle to calm down since Triple H isn’t even here yet. She asks how many kids he has. Angle has five, including a one-year old baby girl. McMahon says he probably wants to buy her everything. Angle is also remarried. Two wives means his alimony payment is steep. She gives him props for being an Olympic Gold Medalist, having won it with a broken neck. Angle is also a 4-time WWE Champion and a Hall of Famer. Do those accolades pay the bills? They don’t. Being RAW General Manager does pay the bills. She tells him to think about it. It wasn’t like Triple H wasn’t provoked. Angle almost ruined the biggest signing in WWE history. Ronda Rousey put her husband through the table because of Angle. She tells him to know his role, make the matches, and put this behind them. Angle just stares at her.
Ronda Rousey’s music hits, and she comes out to a huge pop. Rousey is all smiles and walks around the ringside area high fiving fans. Rousey then gets in the ring and hugs Angle before shaking hands with McMahon. A “Ronda Rousey” chant picks up, and she seems moved by that. Rousey says she’s realizing the people who brought her here aren’t what she thought. She’s dealt with bullying bosses before and will deal with it in her own way. McMahon says people just take orders and get it done, but Rousey understands that she did sign a WWE contract. That makes her a part of WWE that she oversees. It doesn’t have to be a bad thing. They’re giving her a match at WrestleMania. Rousey says she’s grateful. Her contract says she gets to choose who she faces at WrestleMania. McMahon reiterates that it can’t be a champion and they must be an active member of the roster. Rousey simply says, “You.” A “YES” chant fires up.
Triple H’s music hits, and he comes out saying this isn’t going to happen. Triple H tells Angle to stop pretending to be a tough guy and do his job. Stephanie is an executive of this company and is the Commissioner of Monday Night RAW. Angle says he thought Triple H wasn’t here tonight. Triple H says he’s here. Triple H tells him to do his job. Angle says Stephanie is a WWE executive and has a contract that states that. Stephanie also has a second contract as a WWE Superstar. Angle says Stephanie WILL face Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania. A loud “YES” chant picks up. That’s not only it. Angle also knows Triple H has a second contract. Angle told Triple H after Survivor Series that if he ever attacked him again, he’d come for him. As long as it’s ok with Ronda, at WrestleMania it’ll be Triple H and Stephanie versus Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle! The crowd loves this.
Stephanie approaches him and starts poking him in the chest before going off on him. Stephanie goes to slap him, but Rousey grabs her arm. Triple H tells Rousey to calm down. Triple H tries for a sucker punch on Angle, but Angle blocks it and punches him down. Triple H quickly boots him back, but Angle hits a drop-toe-hold and goes for the Angle Lock. Triple H kicks him away. Stephanie attacks Rousey from behind, but she’s quickly on her feet. Stephanie then runs away through the crowd. Rousey turns and stares at Triple H. Triple H goes for a Pedigree on Angle, but Angle counters into an Angle Lock! Triple H screams in pain until Stephanie helps pull him out of the ring. Rousey then grabs Stephanie by the hair and pulls her into the ring! Stephanie begs her off, but Rousey pulls her up and connects with a modified Samoan Drop! Angle raises Rousey’s arm.
After commercials, they announce that confirmed for WrestleMania is Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle versus Stephanie McMahon and Triple H!

In-Ring: John Cena, Goldust
John Cena makes his way to the ring to a big reception. Replays are shown of John Cena beating AJ Styles on Smackdown to earn a spot in the WWE Championship match at WWE Fastlane. Cena says he’s here tonight on Monday Night RAW to talk to them about Smackdown. Cena understands this is a difficult subject, but he suggests they listen. Cena has found his Road to WrestleMania, which is why he’s here tonight. Kurt Angle gave him this time to talk about Smackdown and the importance of Fastlane on Sunday. As the only free agent in WWE, he understands that the right to compete on RAW and Smackdown is a privilege. Some might wonder why he doesn’t do this on Smackdown. It’s not that easy. This Sunday there will be a Six-Pack Challenge. Baron Corbin, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, Dolph Ziggler, and AJ Styles won’t let him sit by and just say what he has to say. This Sunday, a record that has stood for twenty years will be broken. It’s tough even for him to talk about, but the truth is brutal. It will happen. This Sunday at WWE Fastlane, he will win the WWE Championship for the 17th time! That would break Ric Flair’s record.
All records are made to be broken, even the ones we hold close. This is his only Road to WrestleMania. For the past few weeks, he’s been told he doesn’t earn opportunities and holds people back. Cena was not given success. He was given a chance. Cena earned his opportunity when he beat AJ Styles in the middle of the ring. Amidst all of the adversity and opinion, he will never hold anyone back. When he wins on Sunday, people will say he robbed AJ Styles of a WrestleMania moment. Cena encourages Styles to make a greater WrestleMania moment. Styles should use his rematch clause right away and make the title match at WrestleMania a triple threat with Shinsuke Nakamura.
Goldust’s music hits! Goldust quotes a line from “On the Waterfront” from 1954. Goldust gets in the ring and says John Cena is the leading man. Goldust says he’s always had a dream of sharing the silver screen with someone like Cena. The dreams of soaking in the spotlight at WrestleMania. That dream begins with him stopping John Cena from going to WrestleMania. Goldust says all his dreams haven’t had the perfect ending. It seems like they’ve all been just taken from him. All of his dreams like pretty little rainbows have turned gray and very evil. That ends today. Cena wants to go to WrestleMania with the title. Goldust is taking control of this silver screen as Cena’s new director for this epic motion picture. Tonight, Cena’s dreams will certainly be… shattered. Goldust then lays Cena out with a right hand!

Bliss says Jax has been an outcast her entire life because she’s so much bigger than everyone else. Jax is tearing up. Bliss says she sees how people look at Jax in the airports. Everything he touches and says is given life. Elias plays a trill on the piano and asks, “Who wants to walk with Elias?” Elias loves symphonies. They’re classy and sophisticated, the opposite of this scumbag town. Elias says guitar isn’t the only instrument he’s mastered. Elias sits at the drums and plays a riff. Elias then grabs a guitar and says Braun may be a monster among men, but he’s living in Elias’ world. Strowman will find out that WWE stands for “Walk With Elias.” Elias dedicates the next song to Strowman. Elias sings that he’ll win unlike the Brewers and the Bucks. Elias says Milwaukee sucks. Elias sings that he’s not afraid of Braun Strowman. Elias tells them to hit the lights and give him a proper introduction in the ring. The lights shine on a stool, but Elias is nowhere to be found. Elias used the lights going down as an opportunity to run away.
Elias is running backstage trying to get out of dodge. Elias leaves the arena and gets in a car. Elias revs the engine, but he isn’t moving. Elias looks in the rearview mirror and sees Strowman holding the car up to prevent the wheels from moving it! Elias runs away, and Strowman chases him!

The Mizzies recognize true greatness, not acclaimed movies that no one has seen. The real “Darkest Hour” is that “The Shape of Water” won over “The Marine 5.” Miz wants to honor the best of WWE.
First Category: Best Superstar at Patting Themselves on the Back

The winner is… Kurt Angle! A graphic says, “Applause.” Miz says Angle cannot accept because he’s too busy kissing up to Ronda Rousey. Having a Mizzie on his resume will help when he’s unemployed after WrestleMania.
Miz wants to have a Lifetime Achievement Mizzie. This man is the main event wherever he is on the WrestleMania card. This man is also 55 days away from beating Pedro Morales’ record.
Seth Rollins interrupts and says the fine people of Milwaukee were begging for him to hit the music because he’s dragging. Finn Balor’s music hits to interrupt him. Rollins isn’t happy about that. The Miz cuts them off and says they don’t deserve a shot at him at WrestleMania. No matter how many great performances Rollins puts on, he still loses. As for Balor, he’s done nothing since winning the Universal Championship for a day. Balor talks about being “over.” This isn’t Japan. It takes more than a hand sign that isn’t even his to be over. In-Ring: Paul Heyman and Roman Reigns
Paul Heyman makes his way to the ring holding the Universal Championship and going through his usual spiel. The crowd boos Brock Lesnar’s name. Heyman is here to deliver a message on behalf of his client. Heyman is holding the title because Lesnar has allowed him to put his hands on the title. After Lesnar defends the title at WrestleMania against Roman Reigns and if he chooses to defend it on SummerSlam, he’ll come back on television and, if he’s allowed to, he’ll lay the Universal Title down in the ring along with the UFC Title!
Roman Reigns has a lot to say about Brock Lesnar and criticized his schedule. Heyman says, “Hey Roman — what’s the biggest victory of your career? Last year in the main event of WrestleMania when you defeated The Undertaker.” Did anyone say that Reigns beating Undertaker meant nothing because The Undertaker only wrestles one night a year. If anyone said that, that statement is bullshit. The Undertaker is 365 days a year. If you beat him, props to you. Brock Lesnar is Brock Lesnar 365 days a year. Reigns isn’t beating him. If Reigns doesn’t like what he’s saying, he can do something about it next week when he brings out Brock Lesnar. This title belongs to Brock Lesnar.
Heyman then goes to leave, but stops. Heyman mentions that Reigns called Lesnar a “bitch.” Heyman holds up the Universal Championship and says this is Lesnar’s bitch. Reigns is eying up Lesnar’s bitch. Reigns thinks this business is his life blood. Heyman says this is not a belt or a strap. It means you’re better than anyone else in the world. The title means you’re the number one on the face of the planet. It’s not how bad you want the title. It’s how bad the title wants you. If you want to be the champion, you have to be prepared for anything. If you get a phone call on the night before WrestleMania that something bad happened to your father, you still have to show up to WrestleMania. Then you need to go to RAW and show it off. If you’re not needed for Smackdown, you can go back to your family that needs you. The title is everything you are. Next week in Detroit, his client will be here. Reigns can say anything he wants to Lesnar’s face. You don’t want to shoot on the microphone with Paul Heyman, and you don’t want to shoot in the ring with Brock Lesnar.
Roman Reigns’ music hits, and he makes his way to the ring. Reigns gets in the ring and gets in Heyman’s face. Heyman takes the Universal Championship and hands him a microphone. Reigns says this is what he’s talking about. Reigns said a lot of things. Some of them were harsh, but they were true. What does Lesnar do? He sends Heyman out for the rebuttal. Reigns says, “Brock really is a bitch, isn’t he?” Reigns asks that Lesnar shows up. The crowd wants the champion to show up to work. They want Lesnar to actually want to be here. If Lesnar is going to be in Detroit, he better not be dressed for a promo segment. He better come dressed for a fight. Heyman quickly hurries away.
Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns will go face-to-face next week on RAW.
