Current Main Event Match for NJPW’s Strong Style Evolved in Long Beach

The main event match for New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Strong Style Evolved event in Long Beach, California is currently planned to be The Young Bucks versus The Golden Lovers (Kenny Omega & Kota Ibushi), according to this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

The Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported that the company originally considered the idea for Chris Jericho versus Tetsuya Naito to be the show’s main event but now it is more likely that the match will be saved for a future event instead. Meltzer also reported that NJPW is currently considering the idea for Chris Jericho to be a possible replacement for Rey Mysterio if Mysterio is unable to compete in his scheduled match against Jushin Liger.


Tentative Ticket Sales Date for Cody & Young Bucks All In Event

As previously reported, Cody and The Young Bucks revealed the official location for their All In event earlier this week. They also stated that more details regarding ticket sales would be announced at a later date.

In an update to this situation, the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported that Cody and The Young Bucks are currently working on plans for the event to be streamed live while tentative plans are for tickets to officially go on sale in May.


Rumor: Mexico’s AAA Considering Purchasing Impact Wrestling

The owner of Mexico’s AAA promotion, Dorian Roldan, is currently rumored to be considering the idea of purchasing Impact Wrestling, according to this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Dave Meltzer reported that Roldan has told several people close to him of being interested in purchasing the company although Meltzer’s sources were unable to confirm if he was actually serious about the idea.


MLW Hires Bruce Prichard as Their New Senior Producer and Senior Agent

Major League Wrestling is reported to have recently hired Bruce Prichard as their new senior producer, according to Post Wrestling. Post Wrestling’s John Pollock reported Prichard officially started working for the company during Thursday’s Spring Break ’18 event. Besides being the new senior producer, Pollock also reported Prichard will become the new senior agent for the company.
