— WWE (@WWE) December 13, 2017
A video is shown of what happened last Tuesday on Smackdown. Kevin Owens was handcuffed to the bottom rope during Sami Zayn’s match against Randy Orton. Owens broke out with bolt cutters and attacked Orton. Shane McMahon says he’s just getting warmed up with their punishment. Shinsuke Nakamura made the save. McMahon made himself the guest referee for the match at Clash of Champions with Orton and Nakamura against Owens and Zayn. If Owens and Zayn lose, they’re out of all of WWE.
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are seen walking around with “YEP” t-shirts. They’re trying to get people to join their “Occupy SmackDown” movement against Shane McMahon.
In-Ring: AJ Styles, The Singh Brothers, Jinder Mahal
WWE Champion AJ Styles makes his way to the ring to a nice reception. He’ll face Jinder Mahal at Clash of Champions with the title on the line. A loud “AJ Styles” chant picks up. Styles welcomes the crowd to Smackdown Live, the house that AJ Styles built! Styles says he’s usually cool, calm, and collected, but all he can think about is defending his title this Sunday at Clash of Champions. Styles doesn’t want to lose what he just got back, which is probably how Jinder Mahal felt. What good is it to be champion if you’re not willing to fight for it? Styles will defend the title against Mahal, a man who would do whatever it takes to hang on to his title. There was the Punjabi Prison Match where he brought in The Great Khali from India to help him win. Mahal also had The Singh Brothers around to constantly help him. Mahal would do anything to get that title.
The Singh Brothers make their way to the stage. Usually at this time they introduce “The Modern Day Maharaja,” but not tonight. They show what Jinder Mahal did to them two weeks ago. Styles defeated them, and Mahal viciously attacked The Singh Brothers after the match. Styles says that was just cruel. After seeing that, he feels sorry for them. It may sound crazy, but they need to come down to the ring and “hug it out” with him. The Singhs hug on the ramp, but Styles says they need to hug it out with “old Uncle Al.” They get in the ring while the crowd chants, “Hug it out.” They hug Styles and thank him for the support. The real reason they’re out here tonight is to tell him they want to be in his corner at Clash of Champions. The crowd boos. As far as they’re concerned, Jinder Mahal is facing him alone. They’re done with Mahal. He’s a disgrace to the 1.3 billion people of the great nation of India. They talk about how Mahal humiliated them, even making them kiss his feet. Styles asks why they were alongside Mahal in India this past weekend. Still photos are shown of them with Mahal. Styles asks if they’re with or against him. They insist they’re done with him.
Jinder Mahal’s music hits, and he angrily comes down the ramp. Styles calls The Singh Brothers “dingleberries” and says they sucked at trying to convince him. Styles says he appreciates them being honest about the Clash of Champions match being one-on-one. Styles head-butts one Singh brother and punches down the other before clearing them from the ring. Styles then invites Mahal to get in the ring. Mahal gets on the apron and just shouts at Styles. A loud “Jinder sucks” chant picks up. Mahal then jumps off the apron and backs away. Mahal helps The Singh Brothers up at ringside. Styles raises up his WWE Championship while his music plays.
Ruby Riott w/ Liv Morgan and Sara Logan vs. Charlotte Flair
Natalya will be on commentary for the next match. She’ll face Charlotte Flair at Clash of Champions for the Smackdown Women’s Championship in a Lumberjack Match.
The bell rings, and Flair takes Riott down a few times before shouting at the rest of The Riott Squad at ringside. Riott rolls her up for a one count. Flair quickly kicks Riott and hits an exploder suplex. Riott rolls out of the ring to recover. We come back from a break to see Riott attempt a diving senton, but Flair gets the legs up before snapping her off the turnbuckle. Flair knocks Sarah Logan off the apron and sends Riott out of the ring. She then clotheslines Liv Morgan at ringside. Natalya gets in her face, but Flair hits her. Flair starts taking out The Riott Squad before Natalya clotheslines her on the floor.
Winner by Disqualification: Charlotte Flair
The Riott Squad gets Flair in the ring and begins to triple-team her. Flair tries to fight them off, but they overtake her. Natalya is just sitting back and watching. They send Flair out of the ring and send her into the steps before sending her into the barricade. They take the bottom portion of the steel steps and set it up like they did to Naomi two weeks ago. Naomi’s music hits, and she runs down to dropkick Morgan and Logan down. She gets Riott in the ring and hits her with the Rear View. The Riott Squad pulls Riott out of the ring and runs off. Carmella, Lana, and Tamina attack The Riott Squad from behind for good measure.
Backstage: Daniel Bryan, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn
Daniel Bryan is talking backstage to Shane McMahon. Bryan says he’ll be out in the main event to keep control. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn walk in with their “Occupy Smackdown” flyers and leave one for him. Bryan looks at the flyer with interest.
Dolph Ziggler vs. Baron Corbin
Bobby Roode is on commentary for the next match. The bell rings, and they circle the ring. They lock up, and Corbin powers him to the corner. Corbin gives a clean break before shoving him. Ziggler shoves him back, so Corbin lays him out with a right hand. Corbin then talks trash to Roode. Ziggler sends Corbin to the corner with a dropkick and hits a running splash. Corbin shoves him off and charges, but Ziggler sidesteps him. Corbin hits the ring post shoulder first. Roode gets off commentary and removes his robe. Roode gets on the apron and gets in the ring. Roode then gets the crowd to shout, “GLORIOUS,” and he hits Ziggler with a Glorious DDT.
Winner by Disqualification: Dolph Ziggler
Corbin grabs him by the throat, but Roode kicks him and hits a Glorious DDT. Roode celebrates in the ring.
Segment: The Fashion Files
A very special version of “The Fashion Files” is streaming on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and WWE.com. Breezango will face The Bludgeon Brothers. Tyler Breeze and Fandango both seem nervous after declaring that. This will happen at Clash of Champions on Sunday.
The Bludgeon Brothers vs. Colin Delaney and Joe Monroe
Erick Rowan starts off against Colin Delaney (not the one from WWECW). Rowan dropkicks him and tags in Harper. They knock Monroe off the apron and viciously clothesline Delaney. Rowan press slams Monroe, who is doing some awful facials, into the ring. Monroe lets out a high pitched scream as he gets powerbombed. The Bludgeon Brothers then hit Delaney with a double-team slam for the win.
Winners by Pinfall: The Bludgeon Brothers
In-Ring: Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Daniel Bryan
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn make their way to the ring in ripoff Daniel Bryan shirts that say, “YEP! YEP! YEP!” They’re attempting to Occupy Smackdown. Owens says “The YEP Movement” has arrived. A “YEP” chant picks up. Zayn says this is surreal. It’s as if the entire WWE Universe finally decided to stand side by side with them against WWE management. Together, they stand united in the name of change. Owens keeps saying, “YEP” after every statement. Zayn says last week, management took things one step too far. A replay is shown of Kevin Owens being handcuffed to the bottom rope during Zayn’s match against Randy Orton. Orton defeated Zayn, but Owens broke out of the handcuffs with a bolt cutter. They double-teamed him until Shinsuke Nakamura made the save. Owens says there is no doubt that Shane McMahon is the worst McMahon of them all. Not only did he handcuff him to the ring like a common criminal, he made himself the special guest referee for their match at Clash of Champions. Then he made it that if he and Zayn lost to Orton and Nakamura, they’ll be fired from the entire WWE. Owens says McMahon is a madman on a rage bender. McMahon wants them to lose their jobs because he couldn’t defend his family’s honor. This business is bigger than Shane McMahon and his vendetta. It is time to Occupy Smackdown. Owens shouts for all their supporters in the back to come out.
No one comes out until Smackdown General Manager Daniel Bryan walks out. Bryan then makes his way to the ring doing the “YES” chant. Owens says this is the inspiration for the “YEP Movement.” Zayn says they thought hundred or thousands of people would come out, but they got even better in the man that represents Smackdown Live. Bryan asks what they’re doing. Owens says Bryan had the “YES Movement,” so they have the “YEP Movement” as tribute. For the last nine months on Smackdown Live, they’ve been scrutinized and unfairly treated just like Bryan. Bryan says they are nothing like him. If anything, this proves it. The “YES Movement” wasn’t about him — it was about the fans. A loud “YES” chant picks up. It was about what the WWE Universe wanted and what they deserve. Zayn says this is about what they want and deserve. Owens says McMahon wants to screw them at Clash of Champions and take food off the table of their families. Zayn calls McMahon a “ruthless tyrant.” Bryan says he has an agreement with McMahon that they have each other’s backs. Bryan says he realizes that Owens and Zayn are incredibly talented. Bryan will make sure their match on Sunday is fair. If they lose, there will be no excuses. Bryan isn’t sure McMahon will agree with him, but he trusts McMahon will have his back. There will be a second guest referee this Sunday at Clash of Champions. That man is himself. Bryan then leaves the ring. Owens and Zayn start a “YES” chant in the ring.
Rusev and Aiden English vs. The Usos
The New Day is on commentary for the next match.
Aiden English and Rusev are in the ring. English says today and everyday is Rusev Day. English says he’ll finish the holiday song they started last week. On the eighth day of Rusev, his partner gave to him… eight Aiden songs. English finishes it up and blows a kiss to The New Day.
The Usos make their entrance. Jimmy Uso says it isn’t even Christmas, but even if it was English wouldn’t get presents anyway. Jey Uso says even if Santa did take him off the naughty list and brought gifts to English, what would he get him? Singing lessons? A new toupee? A new tag partner? This Sunday, it’s all about The Usos.
Benjamin and Gable make their way to the ring. Chad Gable says he’s had enough of Rusev Day, The New Day, and Day One-ish. Days are for the weak. Benjamin says the only day that matters is Sunday because they’re coming to collect the Tag Team Championships. King Kong ain’t got “ISH” on them. Gable says they’ll train them like dogs to roll over and get pinned before bringing the titles to their masters.
We join the match in progress. Rusev is standing over Jey Uso. Rusev applies a bear hug. The New Day is eating pancakes on commentary. Rusev squeezes him for a bit before releasing him. Rusev goes to hit Jimmy Uso, but he avoids it. Rusev blocks a kick from Jey, but Jey comes back with an enzuigiri.
Jimmy and English are tagged in. Jimmy hits a pair of clotheslines, kicks him, and uppercuts him. Jimmy then hits a Samoan Drop and gets the crowd fired up. English counters a running hip attack with a big boot. English jumps off the second rope, but Jimmy superkicks him. Rusev breaks up the pin. They get Rusev out of the ring, but Rusev swats Jey out of the air attempting a suicide dive. Rusev then kicks Jimmy. English hits a front facelock drop for the win.
Winners by Pinfall: Rusev and Aiden English
Backstage: AJ Styles and Jinder Mahal
Renee Young is backstage with AJ Styles. She says he knew The Singh Brothers were trying to trick him. Styles says he’ll beat the odds at Clash of Champions. Jinder Mahal attacks him from behind and says he will not be beating the odds on Sunday.
Shinsuke Nakamura w/ Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens w/ Sami Zayn
Randy Orton makes his entrance followed by Shinsuke Nakamura. Renee Young is in the ring and asks if Shane McMahon’s motives as guest referee will be conflicting. A loud “Nakamura” chant picks up. Orton says he can’t speak about the motivations of Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan, but he can speak to his own. He doesn’t like Kevin Owens or Sami Zayn. This Sunday, they’ll do everyone a favor by making sure those two idiots lose their jobs. She asks if Nakamura agrees with Orton’s sentiments. Nakamura simply says, “Yup!” Nakamura will face Owens, next.
Owens kicks and clubs away at Nakamura rather than going for a tie up. Owens clubs away at him and applies a side headlock. Nakamura fights up and tries to whip him off, but Owens hangs on. Owens shouts, “I’m too strong!” Nakamura fights up and twists out, but Owens knees him and clubs him down. Owens chops the chest. Nakamura fires back with a forearm, but Owens forearms him back. Owens sends him into the ropes, but he lowers his head and eats a kick. Owens gets out of the ring to recover. Owens hits him while he tries to come outside and drives him into the LED apron. Owens gets him in the ring and hits a senton splash for a two count. Owens then applies a chin lock. Owens whips him down by the hair when he tries to fight up. Owens punches and kicks him for a one count. Owens knees him and chops the chest in the corner. Nakamura reverses a whip to the corner and hits a running knee. Nakamura punches away at him and puts him on the top rope. Owens avoids a knee and snaps him off the top rope. Owens pulls him out of the ring and sends him into the barricade.
We come back from the break to see Nakamura hit a snapmare and drop a knee. Owens boots him back and hits a short-arm clothesline. Owens punches away at Nakamura and shouts at Orton. Owens goes for a senton splash, but Nakamura gets the knees up. Bryan is talking on commentary about his time on the indy scene against Owens and Zayn. Nakamura and Owens exchange forearms before Owens knees him. Owens sends him into the ropes, misses a clothesline, and Nakamura takes him out with a flying kick. Nakamura hits a strike combo and a front suplex. Nakamura hits some vicious kicks to the chest. Owens blocks one, but Nakamura counters with an enzuigiri. Nakamura kicks him in the corner and digs his foot into his neck. Nakamura knees him in the midsection and props him up on the top rope. Nakamura hits a running knee to the midsection for a near fall. Nakamura puts Owens on the top rope and forearms him before attempting a superplex. Owens fights him off and goes for a senton bomb, but Nakamura gets the knees up! Nakamura goes for a reverse exploder, but Owens fights out and accidentally hits the referee.
Bryan gets up from commentary and removes the referee’s shirt and puts it on. Nakamura hits Owens with a big kick to the head, and Bryan counts a near fall. Sami Zayn gets in the ring and gets in Bryan’s face. Orton runs in and clotheslines him before sending him out of the ring. Zayn quickly rakes the eyes and puts him into the ring post. Zayn gets on the apron, but Nakamura knocks him off. Owens then hits Nakamura with a Pop-up Powerbomb, and Bryan counts the pin.
Winner by Pinfall: Kevin Owens
Replays are shown of what just happened. Byron Saxton is convinced Daniel Bryan is trying to screw Orton and Nakamura.
Renee Young asks Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn if they have any final words for the WWE Universe. Owens says no one will take this away from them. They are the absolute best, not just on Smackdown Live, but the entire WWE! YEP! YEP! YEP!
