In-Ring: Roman Reigns, The Miz, Elias

Roman Reigns, the new WWE Intercontinental Champion, makes his way to the ring to a good reception. Reigns defeated The Miz to win the title and become a Grand Slam Champion in WWE. Reigns stands in the ring, and the crowd is mixed on him. Reigns says last week was a big week for him. A lot of things happened – The Shield reunited, went to Survivor Series to beat the bricks off the boys from Smackdown, The New Day, and the next day on Monday Night RAW he got an opportunity. A light “You deserve it” chant picks up. Reigns thanks the fans that were chanting that because it feels good. Reigns cashed in on his opportunity and became Intercontinental Champion. The Miz didn’t like that and cried about it. Footage is shown from after RAW when The Shield attacked The Miz and gave him a Triple Powerbomb through the commentary table. Reigns says we won’t see The Miz for a while, but we will see a lot of the title. Miz says a lot of stupid stuff, but what he said that’s true is this championship is prestigious. As long as he has it, it’ll stay that way. He’s not like The Miz; he’s a fighting champion. This is his yard. To anyone in the back, if they want this, they just have to step up and take it.

The Miz’ music hits, and The Miztourage comes out without their leader. Bo Dallas is disgusted that Reigns is talking badly about The Miz. Curtis Axel, who is still wearing the neck brace, says the only thing worse than the pain in his neck is seeing Reigns with the title. They’re in no shape to avenge The Miz, but they have someone who is.

Elias comes out and says he’ll perform later tonight. Tonight, he’s taking the Intercontinental Championship. Reigns says Elias wants to walk with the Big Dog. Reigns agrees to the match. Before they do, he wants him to look at Curtis Axel. Reigns hopes Elias can sing with a neck brace because he might just get one.

Reigns’ title reign isn’t going to hurt them. It’ll make The Shield closer. Ambrose will be back next week, as well as Sheamus from his weird Irish mohawk convention. It sounds about right for him and Ambrose to invoke their rematch clause. Next week, they’re going to burn The Bar down and prove The Shield is stronger than ever. Most importantly, they’ll all be champions. Rollins finishes by saying, “Believe that, Charles,” and walks off.

That’s why they’ve pledged their allegiance to Paige. Together, Absolution is going to turn into a whole new Women’s Revolution.
