As previously reported, WWE released Emma, Darren Young, and Summer Rae earlier in the week. The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported all three were given non-compete clauses as part of their releases and will continue to be paid by WWE until the end of February and won’t be able to wrestle elsewhere until then.
A poll on WWE.com asked fans to rate Kurt Angle’s performance as RAW’s General Manager on a scale of 1 to 5. At the time of this report, 44% of the vote gave Angle the highest rating of a “5” while 5% of the vote went towards the lowest rating of a “1.”
WWE released a preview trailer showcasing this month’s new set of collections for the WWE Network. November will have three new collections with one based on AJ Styles, one based on Ric Flair, and one based on the classic WWE rivalry between Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels.

Ring of Honor recently announced tickets for December 15th’s Final Battle at the Hammerstein Ballroom has sold out. This will be ROH’s final pay-per-view event this year while their final ROH TV tapings for 2017 will occur the following day.
The city of Memphis is reported to have decided to “mothball” the Mid South Coliseum until an official decision on the building’s future is made. At the moment, the city is split between the idea of tearing it down, renovating it for future events, or renovate it as a new youth sports facility. Some of the arena’s fame to wrestling includes being the location of United States Wrestling Association and a memorable 1982 match between Andy Kaufman and Jerry Lawler.
Major League Wrestling announced a new match has been added to the card of their December 7th show in Orlando, Florida. This will be a tag team match of Jimmy Havoc & Darby Allen facing off against Shane Strickland and a mystery tag partner. Besides the new match, MLW also announced Tony Schiavone and Rich Bocchini will be the commentators for this event.
New Roddy Piper Film Released
Nine Legends Films announced they have released a new film based on the career of Roddy Piper called “Roddy Piper: In His Own Words” and is currently available to watch for $7.99 at their official website. A percentage of all sales from the film will go towards the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital which Piper used to help for fundraisers and guest appearances for child patients.
A trailer for the film was also released as part of the studio’s press announcement.
