Bobby Roode Almost Had a Different Theme
Bobby Roode was interviewed by ESPN and talked about how his “Glorious” theme, which is obviously a huge reason why he was so over in NXT, was picked by Triple H just before he was about to debut.
The selection behind the now-famous song illustrates the WWE’s willingness to be creative, and how last-minute changes can completely alter a career path.
“It wasn’t me at all, actually. I had a different song picked out,” Roode said. “I was about to debut on NXT, and about a week or two later, as I waited for some paperwork to be finished up, I had a conversation with Triple H about the character and what I wanted to do. He came up to me that TV taping and said, ‘Hey I’ve got this song that we have, and I think it kind of fits your character a little better, so why don’t you have a listen?’
“So it could’ve went one of two ways: It could’ve really sucked or it could’ve been really great. And it’s been better than great — glorious, I guess you could say. The song itself was a blessing. It’s been a gift, because in this business, everyone talks about the entrance, but without the song, there is no entrance.”
Natalya Likes Nia, Alexa and Carmella
Natalya was interviewed by TV Insider and talked about why she likes the new cast members for season 7 of Total Divas, which begins November 1.
Joining the cast for Total Divas Season 7 are Alexa Bliss, Nia Jax and Carmella. The Canadian likes having new blood on the show.
“Carmella has actually become one of my closest friends. We travel together,” Natalya said. “We just came back from a tour of China, Japan. We made it through Hurricane Irma. We both live in Tampa and were freaking out. We hugged each other once we knew we would be okay
“Nia is such a character. She is going to be so well-liked on Total Divas because she not only wears her heart on her sleeve, but Nia just says what she thinks. I aspire to be her in that sense in that I can say whatever I want. She says what she feels, and I think the world needs more of that. Alexa is adorable. She is just as lovable in real life as she is on TV. She is very relatable. Alexa was a pleasure to work with when she was on SmackDown Live. She is really growing in WWE and is a good person.”
