WWE 205 Live Results
October 17, 2017
Seattle, Washington
Commentary: Vic Joseph and Nigel McGuinness
In-Ring: Enzo Amore and Kalisto
Amore did his singalong promo, which can in fact be taught. Amore said it smells like teen spirit in here in Seattle and he makes Starbucks — but not coffee, money. He said he’ll send Kalisto to a hospital, and since he’ll be there for a while, he should bring his iPad and go to the WWE Network to watch the ‘Zo show.
Amore said that he rebuilt the division, but all WWE ever did for him was give him a mic — he did the rest. He said he’s got talent, and you can’t teach what he has. You can love him or hate him, but you can’t get above him because he’s the man. Kalisto came down and they brawled, but Amore avoided the Salida Del Sol.
Rich Swann defeated Jack Gallagher by DQ
Gallagher came down and we got an inset promo of Alexander speaking, which he isn’t any better at than a regular promo.
Swann flipped over Gallagher and landed a dropkick before battering him in the corner. A pop-up rana landed and Gallagher begged off. Kendrick pulled Swann outside, with Nigel McGuinness saying that he didn’t see it, he was looking at Alexander. Gallagher dominated Swann on the mat and McGuinness brought up Gallagher’s Snake Pit training. Gallagher attacked with a flurry of European uppercuts in the corner until Swann landed one, but Swann ate a few more. Gallagher tackled him down and did a surfboard stomp. Kendrick teased an attack with the bell, but a brawl broke out and the heels doubled teamed Swann and tossed him into the barricade for the disqualification.
The heels then double teamed Alexander on the announce table, but the faces recovered enough to tease an attack on Gallagher before Kendrick made a save.
In-Ring: Drew Gulak
Drew Gulak walked backstage to deliver another part of his PowerPoint Presentation. He came down to a clap from McGuinness. Gulak noted that he feels like the father of this crowd, and he must shelter them all. He has to protect the fans from dives and chanting.
He said his attack on Akira Tozawa last week was tough love and he made Tozawa’s vocal cords impotent. However, with Tozawa gone, he can show off his PowerPoint Presentation!! Drew stifled the “PowerPoint” chants and demanded that everyone pay attention to the tron.
Slide nine states that you should not defy authority. “Despite what you boys may have heard on your Beastie Boys or Fresh Prince records, parents do understand,” Gulak said. He said that ignorance is no excuse, which is why he’ll offer up a refresher on all 277 of his rules at TLC’s kickoff show.
Kalisto & Mustafa Ali defeated Enzo Amore & Ariya Daivari
Amore tagged in to start, but he tagged out to let Daivari eat a slew of slaps and a kick from Kalisto. Kalisto took a swing at Amore on the floor, but Daivari jumped him and sent him outside so Amore could beat him up. Amore tagged in and stomped a mudhole in Kalisto in the corner before bringing Daivari back in. Amore then tagged back in and used a flatliner to get two.
Daivari low bridged Kalisto and sent him outside, damaging his back. That set up a mid-ring suplex for two. Kalisto was able to hit a desperation DDT and the crowd came alive.
Amore and Ali came in, and Ali ran wild with a big pop-up dropkick. Amore ate a high kick in the corner before Ali landed a big flying neckbreaker for two. Ali hit a big dive on Daivari after a blind tag to Kalisto. Amore rolled through a crossbody and got two, but Kalisto hit the Salida Del Sol mid-ring and won it.
As a result, Kalisto has the last thing he could want — momentum going into the pay-per-view. Kalisto dove onto Amore on the floor, but Daivari made a brief save before everyone brawled.
