During tonight’s NXT TV tapings, William Regal announced that there will be a three-way WarGames match at NXT TakeOver on November 18.
SAnitY (Alexander Wolfe, Eric Young and Killian Dain) vs. The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly) vs. The Authors of Pain and Roderick Strong
The WarGames match was originally created by Dusty Rhodes for NWA in 1987 and was then a yearly PPV event in WCW. It consists of two rings next to each other, with a steel cage surrounding and over the top of both rings. There are other rules in the traditional match, but it’s unclear which rules NXT will or won’t use. In the past, there have traditionally been two teams. A wrestler from each team starts off and wrestles for 5 minutes. After that, one wrestler comes in from one of the teams to make it 2 on 1 (usually decided by coin toss or other method) and alternating wrestlers come in from each team every two minutes. When everyone has entered the match, the match can only end by submission or knockout.
