Jason Jordan Dentist Gimmick, Lucha Underground’s Bad Ratings, More

Jason Jordan

Jason Jordan was interviewed by the Miami Herald and talked about how he planned on going to dental school, but put it off to pursue a WWE career. Of course, the idea of having a “dentist” gimmick was thrown around early in his wrestling career.

Jason Jordan DDS?

If WWE SmackDown Superstar Jason Jordan wasn’t wrestling, he could very well be performing a cleaning, a filling, an extraction or even a root canal.

That’s right. Jason Jordan – Doctor of Dental Surgery.

Not the Isaac Yankem type but an actual white coat wearing, gum and tooth professional with office space, elevating chair, X-ray machine, clamps, drills, needles, and other dental instruments…as well as a degree in dentistry planted in viewing range on the wall.

So when he opted for pro wrestling instead, was there any thought of creating a Dr. Isaac Yankem DDS gimmick?

“[Chuckle] The thought actually crossed my mind, when I was in FCW [WWE’s developmental],” Jordan said. “We threw out a lot of different character ideas, and for me, being there for so long, you have to throw a lot of things against the wall. That was something that definitely ran through my mind at some point.”
