Here’s WWE’s SmackDown Live preview for tonight.
It’s headlined by a “six-pack challenge” for a chance to be the #1 contender for the WWE Championship. It’s not really the most star-studded #1 contender match I’ve seen.
Sami Zayn vs. Mojo Rawley vs. Luke Harper vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Jinder Mahal vs. Erick Rowan
Six-Pack Challenge to determine No. 1 contender to WWE Championship
Though WWE Champion Randy Orton has his hands full with Bray Wyatt and their impending House of Horrors Match at WWE Payback on April 30, The Viper will also have to keep an eye on the Six-Pack Challenge Match taking place tonight on SmackDown LIVE. The winner will be named the No. 1 contender to Team Blue’s top prize.
The battle features some of SmackDown LIVE’s newest arrivals mixing it up with the brand’s established Superstars, as Sami Zayn, Mojo Rawley, Luke Harper, Dolph Ziggler, Jinder Mahal and Erick Rowan battle for the right to challenge Orton. Who will earn the biggest opportunity of their career?
Kevin Owens seeks to prove he is the “Face of America”
Even though Kevin Owens will be defending his United States Championship against Chris Jericho at WWE Payback and faces a potential showdown with No. 1 contender AJ Styles, The Prizefighter is still making time to show the WWE Universe that he is the true “Face of America.”
WWE.com has learned that KO has issued the first-ever “Face of America Open Challenge” for tonight’s edition of SmackDown LIVE. Will anyone step up to answer the Canadian brawler’s call for competition and prove Owens wrong?
How will the Superstar Shake-up affect Team Blue’s Women’s Division?
During last week’s Superstar Shake-up, two Superstars altered the complexion of SmackDown LIVE’s women’s division. Second-generation heavy-hitter Tamina and five-time former Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair stunned the WWE Universe with their shocking arrival.
But it’s time to get down to business in the wake of the Shake-up, and there’s no doubt that the newcomers will have their eyes on Naomi and the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Who will be next to try and dethrone the titleholder?
Will SmackDown’s newest arrivals continue to impress?
In addition to the Superstar Shake-up changing the face of SmackDown LIVE, new arrivals from NXT have been making waves across the WWE Universe.
Shinsuke Nakamura and “The Perfect 10” Tye Dillinger have quickly become favorites of SmackDown LIVE fans, though The King of Strong Style has drawn the ire of Dolph Ziggler. Will the newcomers continue to impress as they settle in on Team Blue? Find out on SmackDown LIVE, tonight at 8/7 C on USA Network!
