Here are the latest rumors on the “superstar shake-up” coming up this week on Raw and SmackDown, according to Dave Meltzer.
AJ Styles
AJ Styles still is rumored to be going to Raw. As previously mentioned, the idea has been to possibly re-unite him with Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, but another idea that has been talked about is moving Anderson and Gallows to SmackDown instead. Styles going to Raw seems more likely, though.
Roman Reigns
Dave Meltzer says that he has heard from some people that Reigns is going to SmackDown and from some people that he isn’t going anywhere.
The expected main event for the WWE Payback PPV is Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman right now, so it seems more likely that Reigns is staying on Raw.
Women’s Division
Charlotte Flair switching with Alexa Bliss seems very probable, with Meltzer saying it’s almost pretty much confirmed (but obviously anything can change).
Sasha Banks moving to SmackDown is another possibility that has been talked about “very strongly” in the past week. However, that would kill the entire Bayley / Sasha Banks angle that has been going on for the past several months, with the plan presumably being that Sasha is supposed to be turning on Bayley at some point. So Sasha moving might not make much sense.
Other Notes
– Shinsuke Nakamura and Randy Orton are expected to be the top babyfaces on SmackDown.
– The New Day is expected to move to SmackDown and be the top face team there.
– The entire Raw roster with the exception of Brock Lesnar was told that they would be working the SmackDown tapings on Tuesday. No word on if the SmackDown roster will also be at Raw, however.
– The “superstar shake-up” idea has been planned for months, but as far as which specific people will be moving, WWE has still been changing things day by day throughout this week. This might cause some long term storylines that were planned to get “screwed up.”
