“Superstar Shake-Up” Rumors: Reigns, Styles, New Day, Enzo and Cass?

Two of the biggest names that have been rumored to be switching brands are Roman Reigns and AJ Styles.

However, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, that was a couple of months ago and there is now word that Roman Reigns will most likely be staying put on Raw.

AJ Styles does seem like he may still be moving over to Raw, based on him and Shane “patching things up” on SmackDown and Styles not really having a current direction. However, with John Cena being out for a while, it would seem kinda weird to have SmackDown lose two of their biggest stars. It would indicate that a big Raw star might be moving to SmackDown in exchange for Styles (if he does in fact move to Raw).

The New Day are also rumored to be moving over to SmackDown. They are pretty much at a dead end on Raw and have gotten very stale there, so a move to SmackDown definitely seems like a good idea.

Enzo & Cass moving to SmackDown is another rumor I have heard, but it’s just a rumor.

Dave Meltzer also speculates that he could “easily see” Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss switching based on how they were booked at WrestleMania, but that’s just speculation.

Update:

Update on April 7:

The biggest name who has been rumored to be switching brands in the “Superstar Shake-up” next week has been AJ Styles. According to PWInsider, the idea was to reunite him with Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows. However, things may have changed in recent days and there has been more talk about moving Anderson and Gallows over to SmackDown instead. Like was mentioned yesterday, both Cena and Styles leaving SmackDown seems pretty bad, but if Styles did move, WWE would almost definitely move a big star from Raw over in his place.

There was also apparently a pitch last week to switch Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss, and in recent days, there’s been a pitch to move Sasha Banks over to SmackDown. There has been a lot of talk about greatly changing the women’s roster, according to PWInsider.

WWE seems to still be working things out and pitching new ideas, so obviously lots of things could change from now until Monday.

WWE also confirmed that the “Superstar Shake-up” would be taking place on both Raw and SmackDown this coming week.
