Alberto Del Rio and his brother were arrested for allegedly fighting with a 26 year old Austrian man at a party in Austria after a wrestling show, according to the Wrestling Observer.
Del Rio and his brother allegedly beat up the Austrian man so badly that he had to be hospitalized with contusions and bruises, but no broken bones. The man left the hospital after treatment.
Police were called and Del Rio and his brother were arrested and brought to the police station, where they then turned on each other and got into a fight, with Alberto Del Rio leaving his brother blooded and injured as police attempted to break up the fight. A wooden desk and wooden chair were reportedly damaged during the fight at the police station, and the walls and floor were “splattered with blood.” Del Rio was handcuffed using zip-ties, but broke through them and had to be restrained with shackles on his ankles. His brother was left bloodied, but “not injured badly.”
Del Rio and his brother were released on bond after being charged with assault and damage to property. They were allowed to leave the country and charges were forwarded to authorities in “both men’s place of residence.”
