VIDEO: Jim Cornette’s Election Day Address – ‘Dump Trump’

Jim Cornette spoke with the Tag Rope for a new interview and offered an Election Day message. Cornette said he wants people to “dump Trump” and talked about why he’s opposed to the Republican nominee for president.

“I just wish, I hope that everybody in the United Kingdom, please,” he said. “We’re not all crazy. We’re not all going to vote for Donald Trump. Please, give us a chance. It’s like you; you guys have your Conservatives, your Liberals, a few in between. Ours have gone nuts. And either side can’t work with the other. With Donald Trump, it’s the cult of celebrity, the cult of personality. He’s a TV star, and he can say, ‘I’ll fix this, it’ll be great, trust me!’ I wouldn’t believe him if his tongue was notarized. Some people, they want to go back to a fictitious time where they believed they were happier. And you can’t do that. If I could wave a magic wand and take wrestling back thirty years, where there was bigger crowds in the States, where people were more into it, I would. But I can’t. And you can’t do that in life.”

He added, “I just hope that enough of the cool, logical, educated, rational people come out and vote for anybody but Donald Trump. To overcome, it’s always the older, more conservative, more religious, more grumpy people that vote. You can’t keep them away from the polls. The happy people, they don’t feel like they need to leave their homes and go out and vote. And sometimes, the low-information voter is the most dangerous voter. Because his counts just as much as mine or yours. So, we’ll see what happens, but dump Trump! I plan to vote early and often!”
