Bobby Roode vs. Tye Dillinger
A choir is led out to sing Roode’s “Glorious” theme for his entrance. Toronto crowd sings along with the song for their countryman. Loud “10” chants for Dillinger upon his entrance, another Canadian countryman. “This is awesome” chants as the bell sounds.
They go shot-for-shot early until Dillinger clotheslines Roode outside not once, but twice. Roode goes downstairs, but Dillinger comes back with a back body drop on the floor. Roode begs off when they get back in, but Dillinger stomps his hands, then messes with Roode. 10 punches in the corner by Dillinger, but Roode back body drops him outside.
Roode runs around ringside and nails Dillinger from behind, sending him crashing into the barricade. Roode hot-shots Dillinger across the barricade, then taunts the crowd. Roode begins working over Dillinger. Middle rope neck club by Roode as he continues to taunt the crowd. Dillinger comes back with a backslide for 2. Roode then regains control with a neckbreaker for 2. Roode continues the attack on the neck of Dillinger. Dillinger comes back with an inverted atomic drop after Roode does 10 punches in the corner and lost focus due to the crowd chanting “10” after every shot.
Dillinger makes a comeback with a kneelift, a chop and a stomp to the face. Down comes the kneepad, but Roode slithers outside and has had enough, but Dillinger brings him back in. Roode responds with the Double R Spinebuster for a close 2. They head up top and Roode hits a Top Rope Superplex for another close 2. Roode mocks the “10” chant of Dillinger and goes for Dillinger’s own Tyebreaker, but Dillinger slips out. Roode blocks a superkick and rolls up Dillinger with his feet on the ropes, but the ref catches him. Roode argues with the ref, allowing Dillinger to roll him up for 2. Superkick by Dillinger for a close 2. “NXT” chants by the Toronto crowd. They go shot-for-shot again until Dillinger goes for the Tyebreaker, Roode slips out and goes for the GLORIOUS Drop, but Dillinger takes him down and locks him in the Sharpshooter. Roode is able to crawl over and reach the ropes. Roode catches Dillinger in an inside cradle, but Dillinger spins it over for 2. Roode sends Dillinger shoulder-first into the ringpost.
Roode this time hits the GLORIOUS Drop for the win.
Roode celebrates his win after, then leaves as Dillinger gets up and receives a standing ovation from the Toronto crowd as he leaves, dejected about the loss.

2016 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Finals (Paul Ellering will be suspended above the ring in a Crash Cage):
The Authors of Pain (Akam and Rezar) vs. TM-61 (Nick Miller and Shane Thorne)
We see the Dusty Rhodes Tag Classic trophy at ringside, as well as the Crash Cage that will house Paul Ellering. Music plays to bring down the Crash Cage for Ellering to go inside. Ellering is at first reluctant, but eventually goes inside the Crash Cage and is it then lifted above the ring.
Akam and Miller start. Miller gets the advantage, then TM-61 with double dropkicks that sends the Authors outside. Miller with a tope suicida that wipes out Akam! Razar lifts up Thorne on his shoulders and begins climbing the metal trussing that holds up the Crash Cage! Miller knocks down Razar, then Thorne continues to climb up the truss, then leaps off and wipes out the Authors with a somersault senton! Thorne goes for a springboard, but Razar grabs his foot and sends Thorne flipping over, crashing on the apron like an accordion!
The Authors begin taking control on Thorne, gaining nearfalls, as Ellering shouts instructions from high above the ring. Akam with a Cracker Jack suplex for 2. Thorne fights back, but Razar tags in. Miller tags in and begins making a comeback, slamming Akam, followed by an Exploder. Back suplex to Razar. Sliding forearms to the Authors by Miller. Miller hits a Top Rope Moonsault on Razar for a close 2. Thorne with a running corner leg lariat, then TM-61 counter the Sandwich Powerbombs by the Authors with stereo ranas. TM-61 hit Thunder Valley on Razar, but Akam breaks up the pin. TM-61 hit dives, wiping out Akam outside. We then see a chain fall down from the ring from Ellering as Razar wraps it around his fist while the ref is looking outside. Thorne avoids a shot and rolls up Razar for 2. Spinebuster by Razar, Akam tags in and he wipes out Miller.
Last Chapter by the Authors to Thorne to win the tournament.
Ellering is brought down from the Crash Cage and celebrates his team’s win. NXT GM William Regal, WWE COO Triple H and Goldust come in and present the Authors and Ellering with the Dusty Tag Classic trophy.

The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) (c’s) vs. #DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa)
Gargano and Dawson start. Chain wrestling early, Gargano gets a close 2 off a crucifix. Gargano with a blind tag to Ciampa and #DIY hit stereo dropkicks on the Revival. Ciampa gets 2. Dawson rakes the eyes. Wilder in, shots to Ciampa. Dawson in, slam to Ciampa. Wilder in, assisted leg drop by the Revival for 2. Ciampa slips out of a running bulldog, tags to Gargano and Dawson. Overhead belly-to-belly to Dawson, running chops to the Revival, leaping neckbreaker to Dawson for 2. Wilder blind tags in, then Dawson blocks the Slingshot Spear and Revival hit Gargano with Shatter Machine to win the first fall.
The Revival win the first fall via pinfall (Shatter Machine).
Gargano gets a quick roll-up on Wilder for 2. Wilder nails Gargano back in the ring when both are on the apron, then Dawson with a slingshot suplex for 2. Revival unload on Gargano in the corner, then taunt the crowd. More double-teaming by the Revival gets them another 2. Chinlock with body scissors applied by Dawson, along with crossface shots. Toronto crowd wills on Gargano. Gargano gets up, but Dawson switches to a Gory Special. Gargano gets free, then hits Dawson with a kick while hitting Wilder with a Tornado DDT. Wilder tries to stop Ciampa from making a tag, but he finally does, however the ref was with Dawson and didn’t see the tag. Ref is with Ciampa as the Revival hit the Hart Attack on Gargano for a close 2. Wilder heads up top with Gargano, but Gargano counters a super back suplex into a crossbody for a close 2. Dawson stops Gargano from making a tag, but Gargano finally tags Ciampa in! Ciampa with a missile dropkick to Dawson, followed by a corner running knee. Leap-frog Fame-Asser by Ciampa on Dawson for a close 2. Wilder sent outside, but Dawson rolls up Ciampa. Ciampa gets out and hits Rolling Germans on Dawson. Running Knockout Knee by Ciampa for another close 2. Dawson nails Ciampa, then brings Gargano in, but Ciampa with a Top Rope Crossbody for 2. Ref is with Wilder as #DIY hit Dawson with Sharks in the Water to even things up.
#DIY win the second fall via pinfall (Sharks in the Water).
Ciampa and Wilder go shot-for-shot until Ciampa hits open-handed slaps, but Dawson comes in. Dawson counters the flipping armbar with a Crucifix for 2. Draping Flatliner by Ciampa to Dawson, but Wilder with an uppercut to Ciampa. Gargano tags in, Slingshot DDT to Dawson for a close 2. “NXT” chants by the Toronto crowd. Wilder holds to Dawson in the ropes, then the Revival hit an Uppercut/German combo on Gargano, but Ciampa breaks up the pin. Dawson sends Ciampa shoulder-first into the ringpost and becomes legal by tagging in. Dawson taunts Gargano, but Gargano fights out of the Revival corner. Gargano kicks off Wilder on a backslide attempt, inside cradle on Dawson for a close 2. Wilder grabs one of the title belts, but Ciampa with a Cactus Clothesline to take him out. Gargano goes for the Gotcha! Kick, but Dawson blocks the blow with the title belt, hurting Gargano’s previously injured leg in the process. Trailer Hitch locked in, Gargano thinks about tapping and is somehow able to reach the ropes to force a break. “Johnny Wrestling” chants by the Toronto crowd. We see that Dawson is busted open above the eye. Wilder tags in as the Revival goes for #DIY’s double-team finisher, but Gargano avoids it. #DIY then hit the Revival’s Shatter Machine on Wilder, but Dawson breaks it up! Ref is with Ciampa as Dawson makes a blind tag. Dawson rolls up Gargano with the tights, but the ref catches him. Wilder sends Ciampa into the ringpost, then runs in and chop blocks Gargano’s other leg! Series of pin attempts until Gargano locks Wilder in Garga-No Escape! Dawson tries to break it up, but Ciampa stops him and locks in the flipping armbar! Revival both tap, NEW CHAMPIONS!

NXT Women’s Title:
Asuka (c) vs. Mickie James
Big reaction for Mickie on her entrance as she comes out to her old music. “Welcome back” chants from the Toronto crowd. Pre-match intros for this one. They go back-and-forth early, until we get a stalemate. Dueling chants from Toronto. They shake hands, then go nose-to-nose. Asuka goes to work on the arm, but Mickie with an armdrag. Basement dropkick by Mickie sends Asuka outside. “You still got it” chants for Mickie. Mickie opens the ropes to allow Asuka back in, but Asuka gets back in under the middle rope. Chain wrestling between the two as the crowd begins singing the old “Hey Mickie” song for Mickie. Headscissors applied by Asuka, but Mickie gets out. Exchange of kicks, then Asuka hits Mickie with the flying hip attack, sending Mickie outside. Now, Asuka opens the ropes for Mickie to get back in. Mickie blows a kiss at Asuka and goes to get back in, but Asuka nails her with another hip attack. Asuka goes for a hip attack off the apron, but Mickie avoids it. Mickie then hits the Mickcanrana from the apron to the outside. Asuka goes for an Ankle Lock, then switches and hits Mickie with a release German on the floor! Ref begins his 10 count and Mickie gets back in.
Asuka continues the attack and biels Mickie across the ring. Running corner dropkick by Asuka for 2. Octopus in the ropes by Asuka, but Mickie avoids another hip attack. Asuka comes right back with chest kicks. Mickie avoids another and locks Asuka in a half crab. Asuka tries to reach the ropes, but Mickie switches to a Muta Lock. Asuka gets to the ropes. They go shot-for-shot until Asuka unloads with strikes. Mickie avoids a backfist and hits a big slap, that only angers Asuka. Mickie counters another shot with a neckbreaker.
Mickie begins making a comeback, then avoids Asuka’s 2nd Rope Crossbody and hits a one-woman flapjack, followed by a kip-up. Mickie heads up top, seated senton gets a close 2. Mickie goes for the Mickie DDT, but Asuka counters into a cross armbreaker, but Mickie quickly gets to the ropes. Mickie comes back with Long Kiss Goodnight, but Asuka gets her foot on the ropes. Mickie pulls her to the center, but only gets 2. Mickie goes for the Mickie DDT again, but Asuka counters and goes for the Asuka Lock. Mickie counters with a pin attempt for 2.
Asuka finally gets the Asuka Lock fully locked in and Mickie has to tap.
Asuka celebrates her title retention after as Mickie is helped up. Mickie extends her hand, but Asuka holds up the NXT Women’s Title belt in Mickie’s face instead and walks off. Asuka leaves as the crowd gives Mickie an ovation.
Winner and STILL NXT Women’s Champion: Asuka by submission (Asuka Lock)
We see WWE Hall of Famer Pat Patterson sitting at ringside. We then see Samoa Joe and Shinsuke Nakamura heading to the ring from backstage as we see video highlighting how we got to this main event title match.
NXT Title:
Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs. Samoa Joe
Joe comes out with a single spotlight for his entrance. A series of violinists come out on the entranceway to assist in playing Nakamura’s theme for his entrance as the Toronto crowd sings along to it, even when the music stops. Pre-match intros for this one.
Intense staredown between the two prior to the bell. They exchange leg kicks early. Joe with shots, but Nakamura fights back with some of his own. Nakamura gains advantage, Vibration Boot to Joe in the corner, sending him outside. They brawl outside, Nakamura sends Joe off the barricade, then hits a running boot sending Joe over the barricade. They brawl in the crowd. Back in, Nakamura keeps control until Joe hits the running corner back elbow/enziguri combo.
Joe with facewashes in the corner to Nakamura, but Nakamura stops a running one with a kitchen sink. Pride-style grounded knee strikes by Nakamura, but Joe comes back with ST-Joe. Back chop, FK, elbow drop by Joe for 2. Atomic drop-style kneebreaker by Joe, driving Nakamura’s knees into the mat. Rolling kneebar applied by Joe, Nakamura is able to reach the ropes. Nakamura gets out of a half crab, but Joe sends him outside and then wipes him out with the Elbow Suicida! Joe goes for the urnangi on the steel steps, but Nakamura blocks it. Joe comes right back with a chest kick. Back in, Nakamura comes back with a back heel kick and a one-legged dropkick.
Series of knees by Nakamura, followed by a chest kick and another back heel kick. Nakamura lifts Joe up across the turnbuckles and hits the running knee to the ribs for 2. More Pride knees by Nakamura, then applies a standing neck lock to Joe. Joe counters out with a slam, then hits an inverted atomic drop, a running boot and a running back senton for 2. Powerbomb by Joe for 2, then he switches to his version of the Boston Crab. Joe then switches to the STF and then to a Crossface, but Nakamura counters out with a pin attempt for 2. Nakamura goes for a cross armbreaker, but Joe counters with a pin attempt for 2. Snap slam by Joe for 2. Nakamura heads up top, but Joe stops him. Nakamura with an underneath kick to Joe, then hits a running knee while Joe was across the apron. 2nd Rope Boma-Ye by Nakamura, but he can’t capitalize. They go shot-for-shot, then Nakamura hits the Superman Forearm. Joe blocks the Reverse Powerslam, but Nakamura hits him with a release German. Joe avoids Kinshasa and takes out Nakamura’s legs with a spinning heel kick. Joe goes for the Muscle Buster, but Nakamura slips out and hits Kinshasa, but Joe kicks out! Joe avoids another Kinshasa and locks Nakamura in the Coquina Clutch! Nakamura begins fading as the crowd sings his song to will him on. Nakamura tries to break free, but then Joe hits him with the Chimera-Plex series, but Nakamura kicks out! We see that Joe has been busted open above the eye as he lets out a primal scream. Joe misses a clothesline and Nakamura hits him with Kinshasa to the back of Joe’s head, sending him outside. Nakamura goes outside and goes for Kinshasa, but Joe hits him with a low blow as the ref ducked, then Joe hits the urnangi on the steel steps!
Back in, Joe hits the Muscle Buster to regain the title.
The Toronto crowd goes to a hushed silence and shock as an exhausted Joe gets up and celebrates his title win as the show closes, becoming the first 2-time NXT Champion in their history.
