– Damien Sandow was hugely over with the crowd. Maybe WWE would be wise to use him a little more often.
– The crowd was lively the entire night. There was definitely an energy in the building.
– New Day were way popular with the crowd. The Usos? Not so much. Once I heard them getting booed, I knew it wasn’t going to be a great night for Roman either.
-I’ll let everyone debate the relative merits of the booing of Roman Reigns. I didn’t get a particular sense of the crowd’s motives for not liking him, so I can’t add much to the conversation.
– The crowd was excited for HHH, but a definitely mixed on the end result.
– I don’t know how it came across on tv, but the crowd was insane for both AJ Styles and Sami Zayn in the Rumble.
– Speaking of AJ, his new shirt was available at the merchandise stand after the show. There was also a Rumble specific shirt. Both of those look to have sold out. There was also a new Brock Lesnar “Suplex City” shirt.
– On the subject of merchandise, WWE needs to up their game with an event like this when it comes to merchandise availability. Only half of the competitors in the non Rumble title matches had shirts to buy. There was nothing for Del Rio or Kalisto. Also, none of the women in the match or post match had their shirts for sale. Charlotte has been champ for months, it’s dumb her stuff isn’t there. You know who does have merch there? The Bellas.
– There will be an Orlando live event June 26 at the Amway Center. The pre-sale code is: ORLANDO.

A very entertaining show.
-The Dean Ambrose vs. Kevin Owens match was incredible live and the spot off the rope with Ambrose pushing Owens through the tables for the win got a “holy shit” chant.
-New Day are incredibly over. There were several loud “Francesca Two” chants for the new trombone.
-Nobody really cared about the U.S. Title match with Alberto Del Rio vs. Kalisto.
-The Divas were a bathroom match.
-The Royal Rumble itself was good.
-I’ve been a WWE fan since WrestleMania 3 (I am 39 now) and have NEVER heard a reaction from the crowd the way AJ Styles got as the third entrant. There were tons of AJ Styles chants throughout the match, but I’m not sure how that came out on TV
-Good rumble action throughout. Roman’s “break” in the match was predictable, and the crowd popped HUGE for Triple H throwing him out and going on to win the match.
WWE comes back to Orlando in the summer for a house show. There was no mention of WrestleMania 33 being held in Orlando.
