WWE has announced that WrestleMania 31 became the highest grossing live event in company history. As previously reported, the show and broke the attendance record for Levi’s Stadium with 76,976 attendees and WWE revealed that the event grossed $12.6 million and included fans from all fifty states and forty countries.
The previous attendance record for Levi’s Stadium was 70,799, and the previous gross revenue holder for WWE was WrestleMania 29 which brought in $12.3 million.
Santa Clara Mayor Jamie Matthews said, “On behalf of the cities of Santa Clara and San Jose, we would like to thank all the fans that came from around the world to be part of WrestleMania 31. We congratulate both WWE and Levi’s Stadium on their historic achievement.”
