ACE Pro Wrestling Holding Event To Honor Michael Viruet Jr.

2/3/15 – On February 7, 2015, American Championship Entertainment proudly presents A Hero’s Celebration at the Jose Marti Freshman Academy in Union City, NJ. This show is dedicated to the memory of Mike Morgan, Jr., AKA Michael Viruet.

After a month of fighting injuries due to a hit-and-run accident, Mikey passed away at the age of 20 on December 4, 2014. Loaded with spirit and a zest for life, Mikey loved the arts, music, acting, but most of all, professional wrestling. Along with his father Mike Sr., Mikey helped run the day-to-day operations of ACE, from recording events to editing live shows. His last words written before his death was “ACE 4 Life”. This passion and dedication has led every ACE wrestler and staff member to be there on February 7 to celebrate and remember the life of this blessed young man.

ROH TV champion Jay Lethal vs Rob Vegas

Jay Lethal, pound for pound, might very well be the greatest wrestler to come out of American Championship Entertainment. His incredible run on mainstream wrestling, in particular, as Ring of Honor Television champion, has been second-to-none by critics alike. Rob Vegas has truly taken form as the best technical wrestler in the company, by far. Finally putting aside his lothario exploits, his “Checkmate” Texas Cloverleaf is unbreakable. At “A Hero’s Celebration”, Lethal and Vegas go toe-to-toe. This should be a phenomenal wrestling match between two crafty veterans.

ACE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

Vince Steele is on a crusade as ACE Heavyweight champion. After winning the belt on September 20, 2014 in Wallington, NJ, Steele has stated on record that he is looking to take on all comers. Well, with the open contract on the table, there was one man who signed on the dotted line: CROWBAR. A staple of the Northeast independents, Crowbar has had a wealth of experience in ACE, including being a member of the Mike Lewis Enterprise. Now, the “Demonic Destruction Device” takes center stage for a shot at Steele’s Heavyweight title. Can the native of “South Boogie”, NY retain his championship against a former WCW Cruiserweight, Hardcore, and Tag Team champion? Or will Crowbar do what he does best: DOMINATE? 2/7, we find out.

Eddie Kingston vs TJ Marconi

Former ACE Diamond Division champion Eddie Kingston returns to ACE Pro Wrestling and prepares to go into war, as he faces off with a young, brash monster in TJ Marconi. “The Last of a Dying Breed” is an incredible brawler with a never say die attitude, while Marconi is on a “crusade for change” in ACE and is looking to take people out with his variety of big boots. Will it be a W for “the King of Diamonds”, or will Marconi institute a “Good Times Only” policy and notch an upset over the wily New York veteran?

Danny Maff vs Stockade

This match started to take form after Stockade’s elevation to greatness in ACE Pro Wrestling as a two-time ACE Heavyweight champion. In December 2011, Danny Maff was taken out prior to “A New Era Has Begun” by Stockade. In spite of battles within ACE, the match-up never took place. Now, 4 Years in the Making, “the Boricua Beast” makes his long awaited return to ACE to face off with “the Devil’s Outlaw”. Both men are fighting for the memory of Mike Morgan, Jr., as Stockade stood side-by-side with Mikey as representatives of the New Age Wrecking Crew, while Maff had known Mikey since he was a little boy. Now, these two fierce warriors do battle, with all on the line and PRIDE in their hearts.

There will be a battle royal during ACE’s A Hero’s Celebration, as men will enter this match in dedication to the memory of Mike Morgan, Jr., including ACE veterans, rookies, and men trying to make a shot on the full-time roster. Mikey was about diversity and unique talents trying to break on through in the ACE locker room. The winner will receive the first ever Mike Morgan, Jr. Memorial Cup. Who will fight to the very end to be the winner of this incredible prestigious award?

PLUS, all ACE championships will be on the line, as well as a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT that will be made by ACE Owner Mike Morgan in front of the live crowd! You have to be there on February 7, 2015 to witness a celebration of the life and times of Michael Viruet!
