WWE Takes A Shot At The NFL, WWE Stock Drops, Birthdays

Deadspin reports that the RAW commentary team took some shots at the NFL and NBC commentators Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth on this Monday’s episode. Michaels and Collinsworth read a prepared statement by the NFL this past Saturday. It praised NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and spoke about the NFL’s “integrity”.

On RAW, Michael Cole, JBL and Booker T read a “statement from the Authority” that also mentioned integrity. Booker T took a shot at it and JBL said, “easy Bill Simmons”. Simmons is an ESPN and Grantland writer who was suspended for making “disparaging” remarks towards Goodell.

— WWE stock (NYSE: WWE) was down 0.28% yesterday and closed at $10.84 per share. The high was $11.03 and the low was $10.68.

— Hacksaw Jim Duggan is 62 years old today. Ernest “The Cat” Miller is 51 years old. Gene Snitsky is 45.
