Konnan Explains Why He Was Arrested At An NFL Game

UPDATE: As reported yesterday, Rey Mysterio posted a picture on Instagram of Konnan being arrested at a Raiders/Charges NFL game a couple of weeks ago. Konnan discussed the incident on the latest edition of his MLW Radio show, saying that it was all due to him trying to bring a certain size bag into the game.

According to Konnan, due to tight security restrictions placed because of the intense rivalry between the two teams’ fans, certain-sized bags aren’t allowed in. Konnan tried to bring a restricted bag in and wasn’t allowed, so he went to return it to the car.

“I tell Rey, ‘Hey, I need the keys to the car’ and…there are these workers who are there and they’re like, ‘You can’t pass this line,” he said. “I go, ‘I’m not trying to pass this line, I’m trying to get that key.’ So all of the sudden, a cop who looks a lot like the guy from The Shield, Michael Chiklis, and he just grabs my arm and he tries to put it behind my back. I didn’t know who he was so I resisted and I was actually going to try to take him down and he goes, ‘Don’t tense up!’”

He claims he was taken to jail and released after he passed a sobriety test.

ORIGINAL: Rey Mysterio intimated that former WCW star Konnan was arrested a couple of weeks ago. As previously reported, Mysterio attended a Chargers vs. Raiders game with MVP and during the game, the WWE star posted the following pic,with Konnan in handcuffs and being led away by someone in a police vest.
