WWE SmackDown Rating Is In + More On D-Bryan At MLB Game

The Mercury News has a report of Daniel Bryan’s appearance at Monday’s San Francisco Giants game. The article notes that Bryan decided to come out after reading about Hunter Pence leading a park-wide “YES!” chant.

The article notes that Bryan isn’t much of a baseball fan but roots for the Mariners at time. He worse a personalized Giants jersey and planned to pump up the crowd himself with a “YES!” chant before last night’s game.

“It’s crazy,” Bryan said about his “YES!” chant. “I’m just some small-town guy from Aberdeen, Washington just doing my wrestling thing,” he said, laughing. “You see it being done by 40,000 people and you’re like, ‘Oh my gosh!’ It was awesome.”

UPDATE: WWE SmackDown drew a 2.02 (2.0) cable rating, up big time from last week’s 1.74 (1.7) cable rating.

ORIGINAL: Friday night’s episode of WWE SmackDown scored 2.75 million viewers and a 0.8 rating in the 18 – 49 demographic. Those numbers are up significantly, rising 19% and two-tenths respectively from 2.32 million and a 0.6 the week before.

While the show lost out to Major League Baseball’s post-season, it was still the highest non-baseball original programming for the night.

The household rating will be available later.
